I don't really mind banner ads on the main page. They're quite an acceptable price to pay for the wonderful free hosting provided by Wikia. But lately on the main page of my wiki (http://dungeons.wikia.com) there has been a banner ad for Pontiac's participation in the cash for clunkers system. This banner ad appears to be meant for the right side of the page because it is a vertical banner. Unfortunately, it's in the main page space and pushes down the page for its entire length. As one might imagine, it looks horrible and is completely obnoxious.

I'm guessing this ad is bugged and managed to slip through the cracks. Is there any way to get rid of it, or inform someone (who) that this particular ad is really problematic? Surgo 04:30, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Reading "appears to be meant for the right side of the page" tell us that you're not using the default wikia's skin : Monaco (but it's your right).
Sure, if the ad is missplaced in Monobook, staff might need to fix it.
But there's things to try first, like emptying the browser cache. — TulipVorlax 12:03, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Unless you say that the ad block is sometimes replaced by a vertical banner.
Wich i never saw on that wiki but i loaded the main page just a few times. — TulipVorlax 12:11, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
I am using Monaco, the only modifications made being the contents of the left sidebar and the color scheme. The horizontal banner ad on the main page being replaced by a vertical one is exactly what I meant. Who can I report this bug to in the future, if it happens again? Surgo 13:38, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

You should take a screenshot of the top part of the page then. — TulipVorlax 21:56, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
