Recently I have tried to add a photo to a wiki page (the MAG wiki) that I took and uploaded myself. The uploading of the photo works, but the adding of the photo to the wiki page doesn't. I click 'add photo' and nothing happens, usually I have to wait 1min or so, but now nothing happens, I have given the image 20min to work but it still does not upload. I gave up after 45min. This problem is the same for every other photo I now try to add to a page. I haven't had any problems like this berfore as I have uploaded and added images of the same type to pages without any problems, it has been a while since I have added photos to pages but recently it just does not work. .:Skip-Dip:. 10:45, February 9, 2012 (UTC)

Try using the source editor rather than visual mode. All you need to do to add an image to an article in source mode is put [[File:Image name.jpg|thumb|200px|right|This is my image]] into the article, where "thumb" places the image in a box, "200px" dictates the size of the image, "right" dictates which side of the page the image is on, and "This is my image" is the caption underneath the image. Keep in mind that you can't caption an image without it being a thumbnail. You can also post the image just by itself by putting something along the lines of [[File:Image name.jpg|200px]] into the article. Shotrocket6 15:41, February 14, 2012 (UTC)

Also, use "Source" to go to the Source editor, or you can disable the Wikia editor in your Preferences.

Hi, I also have the same problem for two of the wikis I edit. I click the 'add photo' button but nothing happens. The source mode does work, but is there any way to fix this problem? Animedork 07:48, February 15, 2012 (UTC)

Contact Wikia and report the bug via Special:Contact/bug. Make sure you have a valid e-mail setup in preferences and include as many specifics as possible (browser type and version, wiki name, image file, type, etc.). -- Fandyllic (talk · contr) 15 Feb 2012 11:09 AM Pacific
