I've noticed a couple wikis that have special labels on profiles for some users (like having "bureaucrat" in addition to "admin", or something unique rather than "blocked"). How is this done? Totalsolitude 09:01, May 16, 2012 (UTC)

You can edit these MediaWiki pages on your wiki:

• MediaWiki:user-identity-box-group-blocked - Blocked users
• MediaWiki:user-identity-box-group-bureaucrat - Bureaucrats
• MediaWiki:user-identity-box-group-chatmoderator - Chat Mods
• MediaWiki:user-identity-box-group-founder - Founder
• MediaWiki:user-identity-box-group-sysop - Admins

Are you the founder of the wiki? Founders are b-crats, admins, and chat mods at the same time, but the profile label is just "founder" or something like that. Admins are also chat mods, but their profile label is just "admin".  Pretty pink123 Darkness...☠05:50,5/21/2012 ☠

Admin Tools Wiki has a working solution that is easy to implement. Be sure to give proper credit and sourcing when using it, though, to fulfill the license terms. TK999 12:45, May 21, 2012 (UTC)

Weird. The documentation on the above admintools js workaround suggests it may be a TOU violation to change "'admin' to 'beat cop'". Surely if there's an editable MediaWiki page that will do the same thing, no such violation is possible, is it? Exactly. It is only for adding additional boxes besides the already customizable ones. Naturally, MediaWiki pages are best if available, but if someone wants additional boxes, s/he can add them. TK999 16:08, May 21, 2012 (UTC)
