For future reference, I'd like to know what are the possible parameters to input in to "Expiry" field when protecting a page. I know that infinite is one.--Imaginationac (Talk | Edits | Email) 04:39, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- In theory, it should work the same as blocking. Infinite/indefinite, years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds, and even esoteric time units. I've seen it incorrectly calcuate fractional fortnights, but still accept them. --Splarka (talk) 06:55, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- It accepts the same date input formats described here, but it's difficult to find an explanation or at least a link to it in a "MediaWiki Manual" or "Administrator's Guide"... so I put a link to it in MediaWiki:Blockiptext and MediaWiki:Protect-text. --Ciencia Al Poder (talk) -@WikiDex 13:46, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
