First of, let us get down to the basics. I know that the word fanon is a written form of a subject. For an example, a game player of The Sims game has written a story about a default and or user created sim and goes on for x amount of time or the interest is no longer there for the story. Also, a word canon is video created submission to a video source site like YouTune about a game or subject matter.. Let us use the Sim game again as an example aagain, but, this time the video maker of the sims game tells a story with gameplay interactions. With this said, my question is this, what do you call a fanon and canon hybrid? It is both written form ffor a blog or message boards with still shots and video visuals with the live game play interactions. In a nut shell, ehat do you call that half fanon and half canon?. Thanks for letting me know.Sundogs Current wikis' talk page • Wikias' Talk Page • Wikis Managing 19:03, April 26, 2011 (UTC)
It is still fanon. If it is not be the original creator, it is fanon.--GodPray 19:19,4/26/2011
- I think you don't have the meaning of canon right. Something is canon if it is approved, created, or verified by an official source. In the case of a game, it would be something approved, created, or verified by the game's creator (author, company, or official representative). A machinima created by a fan with the Sims game is not canon, but a machinima created by EA/Maxis would be canon. -- Fandyllic (talk · contr) 27 Apr 2011 5:26 PM Pacific
