Reference in image after save becomes broken

I've been working on an article recently at the wiki I work at, and I recently added a reference in an image's caption using the <ref> and </ref> tags. It appears ok after the first save, but any subsequent edits to that particular section or the whole page breakes the reference.
The following is a link to the specific page and section and the first image you see has a broken reference in it.
Is there any way to fix this, either by adding something to Mediawiki or some kind of fix? Any help is good, Thanks! --Meghunter99Talk to me! 13:14, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
