I've created a bot that can reset sandboxes. It basically does the same thing as Sandbot on enWP. However, it currently only works on the English language Wikipedia as it is the only wiki I can find that has autoclick enabled. Autoclick is that thing that automatically clicks on the save button. I want to test the bot on w:c:nwn so could a member of staff enable this for me please. One more thing, could you place a bot flag on Leonbot as it is the bot I will be testing it on. I've looked into this thing a bit more and I think that the following things need to be enabled:

• autoclick
• autorv
• autosummary

I've got a bot that does this (User:EssjayBot on en.wikipedia) and I was just talking to sannse about setting it up here. I've not tested it yet, so I'm not sure if it would need any feature changes. Essjay (Talk) 21:46, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

When I was talking about Leonbot on IRC, CchristianTehWazzit asked me if SysOps would be able to change the sandbox header through, for example, MediaWiki:Sandboxheader, or something similar. My answer was yes but what about EssjayBot? --Leon (talk) 21:51, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

I don't really think there's need for reseting Wikia sandbox more often, than when somebody, IP or staffer - whatever, see it and get sure that now some old edits needs cleanup, same as Help:Tutorial 2 (edited more often and never clened regulary or by bot. Check history, people were deleting old stuff).
People like to see that wiki is used by others and it lives. Sandbox is a great example for that. Resetting it by bot edit looks strange for me.
BTW: we got another sandbox in Dansk on Wikia:Sandkassen. It can be redirected to Wikia:Sandbox or also cleaned by bot if you decide to. Szoferka 22:24, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

Maybe more popular Wikia wikis would want it. Well, according to Alexa, dofus is the most popular but it doesn't seem to have a sandbox. starwars, one of the most popular Wikia wikis has one at w:c:starwars:Wookieepedia:Jundland Wastes though. --Leon (talk) 22:38, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
