Hi All,
After about 3 years in which I created and tried to bring my Kwish wikia (A consumer guide of Hebrew speakers) into life, I decided to shut down the project and to join forces with another similar project in Israel. The main reason for that is that I feel that some technical and other limitations, imposed by being hosted in Wikia, have made it impossible for me to run the project with accordance to my vision of it.
So besides just letting everyone know, and thank those who tried to help me along, I would like to ask:
- Are there any official steps I should follow to close down the project (notify a certain staff member or whatever)?
- I would like to download at least some of the pages of Kwish to the new project. Given the fact that I am the only contributor to all these pages and that the new project will retain the GFDL license terms for them, are there any limitations on doing that or any other rules I should follow?
Thanks,

- Database download is possible by anybody who want it.
- Generally Wikia dont close wikis unless it is really necessairy. The thing is, even if you are the stater of the project and the only contributor, you dont own the wikia wiki, nobody does.
- Someone else could come by and start contributing after you leaved.
- But, don't take my words for Wikia words here. You can ask someone from the Community Team about all this. — TulipVorlax 19:50, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
