Does anyone know the code of a Template:Reflist? --Thailog 22:34, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

Well, isn't it all on that page? Are you wondering whether Wikia should have a version of it? No prohibition on copying as long as we acknowledge the source (though some templates contain other templates, which you must also copy if you want the thing to work). No, it's not. All it's there is its usage; not the actual code for the template. That page doesn't have an Edit function, so it can't be seen. --Thailog 00:44, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
That's because it has been protected. Use the View Source tab instead.

I'm trying to copy the code over but encountering portability issues, most of them caused by the lack of other pages. See Template:Reflist. --Jesdisciple 01:32, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Never mind, now it's just missing images (and categories); see Forum:Uploading_Wikipedia:Image:Padlock.svg. --Jesdisciple 03:18, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
I removed the template where the explanation resides, because is not needed by the template. It can be used without it anyway. --Ciencia Al Poder (talk) -WikiDex 19:25, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
What explanation? Do you mean documentation? (I didn't think I copied that.)
Also, (to anyone with wiki skills) Reflist and Cite_web aren't working together for me. See w:c:Internet:Comparison_of_web_hosting_services. Thanks! --Jesdisciple (talk) 20:27, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Did you guys add this to your wiki's MediaWiki:Common.css?

/* Small reference list */
ol.references {
   font-size: 100%;
}

.references-small { font-size: 90%;}

/* VALIDATOR NOTICE: the following is correct, but the W3C validator doesn't accept it */
/* -moz-* is a vendor-specific extension (CSS 2.1 4.1.2.1) */
/* column-count is from the CSS3 module "CSS Multi-column Layout" */
/* Please ignore any validator errors caused by these two lines */
.references-2column {
  font-size: 90%;
  -moz-column-count:2;
  column-count:2;
}

.same-bg { background: none }

It should work then.--Richard 20:36, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Ah! Thanks, I'll call that to the admin's attention. --Jesdisciple (talk) 21:51, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
There's a small error in the preceeding CSS code. The "a" letter alone on one line... — TulipVorlax 00:27, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
