I have created a wiki a while back and have recently enabled badges and was wondering how I get the The Creator Badge? Is there a way to get it now or can it only be received when creating the wiki? Its not really a big deal but it would be good to know. King Toko 19:48, July 27, 2010 (UTC)

I'm not staff, and may be wrong, but this is just how I understand it to work: Badges are not retroactive. This means none of your edits "count" towards badges. It also means that unless/until wikis are created with Achievements already active, the Creator badge will never actually be awarded to the creator. It also means that is you go to your wiki's statistics and see, say, 4,999 edits, and decide to do an edit to get the "lucky xth" edit badge - it won't work, as the Achievements only count edits starting when they were activated. Yeah, the Creator badge was designed for brand new wikis. At the point when we turn on the Achievements feature for newly-created wikis, then the person who creates the wiki will get a special Creator badge.

Also, to clarify a point for Hooper -- the "Lucky Edit" badge is counting every 1,000 changes made to the wiki since the Achievements feature was turned on. That badge is given to anybody who makes the 1,000th change -- even if it's their first edit on the wiki! That's what makes it lucky... :) -- Danny (talk) 10:19, July 28, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, I understand that.
