A lot of people on central create pages for scary-transcluding onto other wikis. However, a lot of them choose to create the pages in the template namespace, as [[Template:User:Name]] or something simillar. Isn't this a bit... silly? What you propose then? for me its cleaner that way, first "Template:" thats the real NameSpace then "User:" thats a clear understanding that this is for user purpose. instead of having in the "C" Template:Cizagna or in "T" Template:TulipVolax or in "O" Template:Ose.

I dont know if it has change but in the past only pages on Template namespace could be transcluded using {{w:NameOfTemplate}} and you cant use variables to create a template here at central and then to direct to other page so you are force to create single templates here, certain filtering should be made or set of rules to keep stuff clean and easy for example for personal use you can create X number of templates, upload Y number of images, unless any of those fall in to what the community can truly use but i dont know if at central such consensus has been made or even propose --Cizagna ^{(Talk) Central Dofus} 15:56, 24 February 2009 (UTC) 15:56, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

As far as I'm aware, the "Template" namespace was the namespace that meant to be transcluded into other pages. Other namespaces could do this as well, but I prefer to keep templates in the "Template" namespace. In the end, this argument is subjective and based on our individual preferences. Of course this is subjective, and my opinion is that no pages in the template namespace (or any other namespace except user) should "belong" to specific users. Anyone else is entitled to their own opinions of course. I'm not sure if it has been like this for ever, but to scary transclude a non-template page you do like you need to do when (normal-)transcluding a main namespace page, you ad a ":" to the beginning. As an example, I usually transclude my userpage as {{:wikia:User:Ose}}. However, on wikis with dark skins I use {{:wikia:User:Ose/dark}}. Ose ^{Talk • Contribs} 20:20, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

if we follow that line of thinking...
