Unwanted wanted pages
I was wondering about cleaning up Special:Wantedpages. Right now, any page that was ever created is listed as "wanted," even if it was just a vandal page move and even if there aren't any links to it. Is there any way to fix it so that pages with 0 links do not appear as wanted? --StBacchus 03:21, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
While I'm making wishes, how about eliminating the "User" and "User_talk" namespaces from Wantedpages, too? That would be so groovy. --StBacchus 03:51, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
- The Wantedpages is cached, so tomorrow those pages with no links shouldn't be there anymore since the cache is purged nearly every day. As for the other thought, that's not something that would actualy be to great of an idea. The Wantedpages is basicly a list of dead links around our wiki. Without the listing of every type of those links some types of cleanup become harder. Dantman (Talk) 06:39, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
- I don't see why you'd want userpages on the list, but I believe you if you say so. However, my original question is still an issue. On the Wiki 24 Wantedpages, we've got links to things like "Susan Walker covered in pelican shit" and "User talk:Kittenhuffer" (Kittenhuffer being a banned vandal). Although they're listed as having 1 link, Whatlinkshere shows that there are actually no links to those pages...except, I guess, on pages that have been deleted. I poked around on some other Wikia, and it seems to be a unique problem. --StBacchus 15:08, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

- This is supposed to update every day, but currently needs to be run manually. I can do that per wiki on request, so just let me know if you need any done until it starts happening by itself again. I've just run it for 24, so that one should be updated now. Angela talk 08:16, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
