Hello fellow Wikians!

I'm looking to start a Warstorm wiki. Warstorm (more accurately Duel:Warstorm) is a free, internet-based, fantasy-themed CCG. I found this mix of free, paid and competitive play with an immersive storyline to be excellent.

You assemble multiple squads of exactly six minions, lead by a powerful hero, to battle increasingly difficult "single player" foes. Alternatively you can challenge specific players or auto-match yourself with any number of squads.

Success in the single player battles reward you with "booster packs" of 3 cards. You also receive packs for achieving levels and completing any of the numerous achievements, although the threshold for achievement rewards drops sharply to encourage play. At higher levels, achievement goals are also provided with more card pack rewards, including multiple packs and more guaranteed rarities.

For gameplay, each card takes a number of turns after it is drawn before it is played (automatically), allowing larger, more dangerous but slow-to-deploy foes to be overwhelmed by fast-deployed ones without even making it to the field.

Each troop on the field is deployed to the end of the row of cards. Order is important: each troop card attacks ONLY the card matched directly opposite it, and failing an opposing card being deployed, the enemy player's life. This means battles can turn quickly as cards are destroyed down the order, as the compression of your row of troops leads to mismatched battles between troops that have differing strengths and weaknesses.

There are multiple stock fantasy factions - Humans, Elves, Orcs, Undead - each with particular play styles and abilities. Tough guys with few skills and lots of health? Humans. Magic to heal but physically weak? Elves. Slow-to-deploy but powerful troops? Orcs.

I recommend that you read over Help:Start a new Wikia. After that, go to Wikia Requests and make your request for a new wiki there. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk) (Deeds) 02:09, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
Thanks Michaeldsuarez. I have already submitted a request to start the wiki and am awaiting a response of any description. To assist the process, I am looking for the level of interest, as well as having a forum (pun intended) to answer questions about Warstorm. -- Kalon 02:19, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
