Hello there. First of all I would like to explain the photo beside so you can understand my problem. The first one is a screenshot of a result when you search in Google the words "Yu Yu Hakusho Wiki". The second one is a screenshot of the very first result you'll see when you search in Google the words "YuYu Hakusho Wiki" (please note the difference between spacing). Either result will lead to YuYu Hakusho wiki , a wiki where I am one of the admins. However, as you can see the descriptions(the ones inside the pink box) have changed, but I prefer the first one's description since its more professional. I would like to keep the description of the first one, so now my question is: Is there anything I can do to make the description uniform, whether someone types "YuYu Hakusho Wiki" or "Yu Yu Hakusho Wiki"? Or how can I make the resulting description the same? YYHPkmnHxH14 |Talk|Contributions 09:40, May 29, 2012 (UTC)
- They should be the same regardless. It's possible that one of the keywords for the search (Yu Yu vs YuYu) was cached by Google at different times; before and after the description was changed (just guessing). The page you are looking for is MediaWiki:Description. Keep in mind, any change on that page will not be instantly visible. It can take weeks, or even months, for Google's crawler bots to cache the new description. Rappy 09:47, May 29, 2012 (UTC)
