Due to technical database reasons that exist in MediaWiki its self, we cannot actually remove or delete your account. These issues are further amplified by Wikia's shared login system across all wikis.

If you feel that you need to leave or quit Wikia, you can just stop using your account. It is a good idea, and a common courtesy to leave a message on your User and User_talk page before doing this, alerting users that you are no longer available.

If you feel this is not an option for any reasons, Wikia Staff can, upon your explicit request, "disable" the account for you.

Disabling an account

What this does:

  • Blanks email stored in preferences.
  • Changes password to randomly generated gibberish
  • Changes "real name" in preferences to Account disabled
  • Marks the account as disabled internally (this shows on Special:Contributions, and other places)

What this NOT do:

  • Removes your username from any edit histories
  • Removes your username from any logs (such as moves)
  • Removes any pages you have created
  • Removes any edits you have made to any page
  • Release the name for another user to use later

If you feel this is absolutely needed, contact Wikia Community Support team by using the Contact Wikia link at the bottom of any page.

This change is permanent. No backup of this private info is kept after a disable, and the account will not be "undone" for any reason.
