"Confusing the licenses" says "You may:
...Include images under any of the following licenses: public domain, GFDL, CC-BY, CC-BY-SA, BSD, GPL, LGPL. ..."
How about text from a GPL html page? The ones I have in mind are all part of http://www.freecol.org/docs/FreeCol.html, a very detailed user guide for the strategy game FreeCol. I would love to have it on the Civ wiki so that its pages could be easily linked to and from, to a greater extent than the guide links them.

Ownership Edit
It says, "The wikis are owned by the communities..." It seems more factual that the wikis are owned by Wikia, Inc. -- ResearchBiz 13:18, March 7, 2010 (UTC)
- The idea is no one person (such as the founder or an administrator) is absolutely in charge of the wiki; they don't own it. The community makes the majority of the decisions on the wiki. Wikia usually doesn't make the decisions for a specific wiki, seldom do they make a decision for the wiki, and usually the community is there to think for itself. Redlink Edit
