Indicator arrows (used to know who is rising or falling from the leaderboard)[]

Where's the arrows to know who's rising or falling from the leaderboard? I read the old version of the help page and it says "up and down arrows indicate who is rising or falling from the leaderboard"

Edit track[]

What's an 'edit track'? The article doesn't explain... Dragonfree OVER 4,500 Animal Crossing Wiki EDITS 17:01, August 4, 2010 (UTC)

Edit track is a new series of badges admins can create. They can choose specific goals (for example, adding 10 pictures), name the badge and track, as well as customize the badges. I will try and make this clearer on the help page. Thanks, --Sarah (help forum | blog) 17:51, August 5, 2010 (UTC)

Lucky edit[]

How do you change the edit number for the Lucky Edit achievement? I highly doubt anyone on my wiki will ever make the 0th edit.

So frustrating[]

I cannot edit this page again. It is so detrimental to this wikia that editors have to go through so many hops to be able to edit here.

Since achievements are listed on "leaderboards" please add this term so editors who are searching this wikia can find this page. Anno1404 14:55, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

Bots[]

What about if we use bots... I don't want my bot skewing the achievement leaderboards. Is this possible to turn off this feature for bots on our wiki or in general? --M1shawhan 03:05, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

Adding Categories[]

At the moment you can only earn "points" for adding categories to pages. I would like a track for adding categories to Pictures or Videos. Put I can only add EDIT tracks. How can I get these two tracks? --Deb1701 11:07, January 26, 2011 (UTC)

The Creator Badge[]

I created a wiki a few days ago so why havent I got The Creator Badge??

My wiki is here.

Deshkap 2006 15:00, February 15, 2011 (UTC)

Have you emailed the Wikia staff? Vgfsirius 17:23, February 15, 2011 (UTC)

I never got one either. The problem is you can't earn badges until after you request ACHEIVMENTS turned on. You can't request them turned on until after you create the wiki. You can only earn badges from that date they are turned on forward. So, you can never get this badge. --Deb1701 18:22, February 15, 2011 (UTC)

I got it. You create a wiki, replace Main_Page with Special:WikiFeatures, and you can activate achievements there. You automatically get The Creator badge. Chronoquarium 22:15, April 28, 2012 (UTC)

Category Tracks[]

Why do you only get points for adding a category to a page? Why don't we get credit for adding a category to a picture or a video file? --Deb1701 01:24, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

Template Edit Track[]

I added an edit track for Category:Templates, and Have made several edits to templates afterwards, I haven't got anything? I've used different browsers and emptied by cache too.

I made sure the templates are included in that Category (I really believe edit tracks should be namespaces like Templates and Files along side Categories because not all templates are included in that category), do edit tracks include the articles in subcategories of the category you are including or just pages in cluded in that category.

i.e. FooCategory>Article2 is obviously included but is FooCategory>FooSubcategory>Article1 included too?

Namespaces alongside category tracks should be implemented I think. FortressMaximus (talk) 02:20, September 9, 2013 (UTC)

Image Error[]

I've got an issue with editing the badges on my wiki. When I was working on picking the image I wanted to use, I cycled through a few before deciding on one. But now the ones I tested icons with keep reverting back to the images I tried before settling on the one I wanted. How do I fix this?

Rogue Shadow 43 (talk) 16:01, December 11, 2013 (UTC)Rogue Shadow

Wait a day. The latest selected images should be the ones shown after that. You can keep adding and changing pictures as much as you like. Even though they SEEM to be reverting, it will be the last update that counts, once the cache is refreshed. Zannia (talk) 07:16, February 15, 2014 (UTC)

user-level opt-out[]

How does a user disable notifications about all this stuff? Will choosing the preference option to hide my achievements do this? I'm not a big fan of this type of gameification. I don't do the whole "extreme devotion" thing so my score is never going to be very high. If I ever start to feel like I'm doing things for points, I leave.

I get the usefulness in showing people how you want them to behave, but I personally don't like that sort of thing. --trlkly 21:58, March 25, 2014 (UTC)

I don't believe there's any official preference you can set to hide achievements, but I suppose you could basically achieve this through css. Add this to User:Trlkly/wikia.css on any wiki you use (you'll probably need to create the page):

.WikiaBadgeNotification, .AchievementsModule { display: none!important; }

This should get rid of the bottom-right notifications and the box on your userpage (or rather, you just won't see them). Hope this helps!

Wiki Love descriptions[]

Suggestion:

They should definitely mention the UTC standard in the badge descriptions of the daily contributions/Wiki Love track instead of just "The counter resets if you miss day, so be sure to come back to the wiki every day!"

In pretty much every other time zone except Greenwich Mean, you could edit at 12:05 am on Monday and 11:55 pm on Tuesday and the counter would reset, but according to the current description, you've done nothing wrong. I learned that the hard way! I know they're just badges, but for some people it's a big commitment.

Maybe something like, "Be sure to contribute every day by { {whatever 00:00 UTC is in your time zone (6:00 am, 4:00 pm etc.)} } or the counter resets," or just "once every 24 hours." I just don't think people should have to do extra research for pertinent information.

Thanks,

I know there is a link that redirects you somewhere whenever you click on it, but it just displays a "help-desk" thingy and doesn't give you the ability to request for badges. So where is the real page I can request them in? Are badges unobtainable otherwise? If I can enable badges in another way, how can I do it?

you'll have to contact Fandom Staff to request the greatest enabled in your Wiki. ~Apple  [ Talk • Contribs ] 📝20:00, December 25, 2019 (UTC)

Did you contact fandom staff and ask them to enable it? --Little Red 20:57, March 30, 2020 (UTC)

Cannot upload a picture (even in jpg or png format)[]

Hi, I'm trying to upload a picture in Horrid Henry Wiki but I can't. Why is that the case? It's a jpg or png file Pinksheepy 2 (talk) 15:51, July 15, 2020 (UTC)

Have you ever tried to check whether it is .gif or not? There could be upload fails when you are trying to upload old images. Try to remake the picture in any website. —Baran (talkTR Central) 10:42, August 1, 2020 (UTC)

Achievement migration on UCP[]

Question: On the wikis migrated to the UCP, where the achievements feature is not available yet, when achievements return, will everything reset? Will the "contribute to the wiki for x days" reset? Will the leaderboard reset? Or, is it just on pause? If so, when it returns, will it count the edits made while the achievements feature was off? For example, if you contributed to the wiki for 30 days while the feature was unavailable, would you earn that badge once the feature becomes available? 173.76.224.227 02:24, July 29, 2020 (UTC)

We are not really sure about that. We would need to wait until further notice. —Baran (talkTR Central) 10:42, August 1, 2020 (UTC)

Where do you find the 'Create a New Edit Track' when you customize badges? I don't see it anywhere on the page, and I'm assuming it's outdated. If it is, can someone please tell me where do I find it now?

SECRET PLATINUM BADGE!?[]

Guess what? I figured out that there is a 250 points better-than-gold badge SECRET category called platinum! An example would be contributing every day for a year. Fuzzo the fuzzy bee (talk) 03:05, September 18, 2020 (UTC)

That one badge.[]

So, i tried obtaining one on a wiki, but i keep losing a day of activity, even though i did check on it.

I DID make sure to check on it yesterday, but I LOST A DAY OF ACTIVITY AGAIN. And i was 100% sure i did make an edit. Look, there isn't much to add, but i so damn want this badge. I mean, in the past, i still had many informations to add, but i keep losing a day of activity, and i get more and more impatient. Yes, it is the 365 badge. 365 days, specifically.

Sorry if i sounded completely insane, but i'm starting to get desperate. How do i get a badge without even completing the achievement? FanOfYoshi (talk) 08:26, December 14, 2020 (UTC)

I'm having a similar issue. I was on track to getting the Gold Dedicated badge for editing every day for 60 days in a row, and about 10 days ago it reset for seemingly no reason. DaHumorist (talk) 21:30, 27 January 2021 (UTC)

Creator Badge is Broken[]

On a UCP wiki where achievements was just recently enabled, and of which I am the founder of, I was not awarded the badge that is given for being the creator of the Wiki. On a past wiki I had achievements enabled and I got the badge, and that was before that other wiki was moved to UCP, which once it did move I still had the badge. So is this badge broken on Wikis that enabled achievements after they're already on UCP? TheMajinTails (talk) 09:07, 24 April 2021 (UTC)

Somethng's missng[]

The Previous and Next buttons on the achievements are missing! I don't know why, but not having them is not good. Is this a glitch? Ohai there, it's LostToTime23, but you can just call me Lost (talk)

Future of Achievements[]

Are they not being carried over to DesktopFandom? They're a fun feature that gets a lot of minor editors to contribute that wouldn't normally. Are they going to still be available once this switch happens?

DesktopFandom seems to be a very basic, honestly boring, "upgrade". The more I see, the less there is. Hopefully, Achievements aren't going by the wayside.MDGeistMD02 (talk) 03:46, 3 August 2021 (UTC)

Blocks[]

When I am blocked I cannot do the what "contribute to the wiki every day for ? days" achievement. And I will start all over. Can I stop it from going away or use coding to get it back? dreamydude2004, host of cancelled camp, 11:48 am 30 august 2021 in china timezone not gonna reveal my real country

How do you change the category for the categories medals![]

I can't seem to figure out how you change what category the medals award you for. For example, of you look at the medals on this wiki: https://gup.fandom.com/, then you can see that you get the medals for editing the "Tanks" pages. However, if you go on my wiki: https://world-of-tanks-blitz-strategys.fandom.com/f, then you can see that the medals are just awarded for categories. Does anyone know how to do this.

Thou art out of luck, for to FANDOM have decided there are no more herœs, no more fortnite, and no more custom acheivement traques. For you see, they have removed thine abilities to invent tank page achievements. Only link can defeat gannon. MountWario (Yell at me here) 10:36, 12 January 2023 (UTC)

Day Counter Bug[]

My day counter was set back to 0 on a wiki I help managed even I was on the wiki for about 275 days straight actively contruibing to it. I even double/triple check to see if I missed an day, but I didn't so. I know wiki is updating to an new version so that could brought a bug to the site. I was wondering did any one eles run into the same issue Silver Infinite 23 20:05, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
