Creative Commons content is not copyrighted[]

Creative Commons licences are part of the copyleft category more exactly, not the copyright one like someone told here. Lupigeo () 08:49, September 22, 2013 (UTC)

I add that not all Creative Commons licences are under copyleft because sometimes ShareAlike condition is not granted (CC BY, CC BY-NC, CC0), excepting for CC BY-SA, CC BY-NC-SA, CC BY-ND, CC BY-NC-ND (ND condition grants SA automatically). Lupigeo () 09:41, September 22, 2013 (UTC)
Copyleft is a form of copyright -- RansomTime 13:43, September 22, 2013 (UTC)
Copyleft is the opposite of copyright, not a form of it. I always can copy an opera under copyleft. Lupigeo () 14:14, September 22, 2013 (UTC)
Um, no, "copyleft" IS just a cool name for a form of copyright. Copyleft is also not a valid legal term, so all "copylefted" works are copyrighted in the eyes of the law. Master Foo (talk) 12:58, November 8, 2013 (UTC)

DMCA[]

Since DMCA is an American law, I suppose Wikia is governed by it because its HQ and master servers are in the USA? Master Foo (talk) 13:02, November 8, 2013 (UTC)

Concept art as fair use[]

Would adding concept art for a video game to related pages of that game's wiki be considered as falling under fair use of the material? The artist's site does not seem to say anything about reposting the material there.
