Deletion wait period?
Edit
How long should we wait before deleting an image nominated for deletion? Image:Jtw-kitch.jpg was tagged for deletion on April 5. Since it has now been 10 days, I feel it is fair to delete the image. Since Angela actually tagged it for deletion, I assume that someone else should delete it. I can do so, but I want to make sure I wait a fair amount of time. Wikipedia uses 7 days (see Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion). I believe that 7 days is also appropriate for Wikicities. What does everyone else think? -- JamesTeterenko 13:44, 15 Apr 2005 (EDT)
- I was just waiting to see if there was any response from the user who uploaded it, but 10 days seems a reasonable period of time to wait for that. Angela 14:42, 15 Apr 2005 (EDT)
- I suppose that the community on each wiki might set the deletion time. (A formal deletion time is probably only necessary if you need to frequently delete images.) --Kernigh 02:51, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

Edit
The old page, based on Wikipedia, did not seem to handle well that each Wikia needs its own set of copyright tags. Nor did it know about "includeonly" or license selectors. Since I have some experience using tags on Wikimedia Commons and creating them on the NetHack Wikia, I decided to try rewriting the page. My goal is to have a help page that is more up to date, and more useful for those trying to set up copyright tags on their Wikia.
I do not have time now, but later I will test if these instructions to myself are useful for creating tags on the Oberin Wikia. I might also want to start or participate in a Forum thread on this matter. --Kernigh 02:51, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
