Namespaces for Semantic MediaWikiEdit

See - it reserves 100 to 109 for SMW & Semantic Forms and 170 and 171 for Filter (part of Semantic Drilldown). The "100" starting-point seems to be further confirmed by I notice that some of our sites start at 302. Shouldn't we follow whenever practicable? — Robin Patterson (Talk) 06:21, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Probably. I'm rather curious to find out what SMW reserves 100-109 for? Also, what wikis start at 302? For the most part, 110 and 111 are for forum/forum_talk, and we try to start any new requested custom ones at 112. there might be a handful of older wikis that have some 100-109 still. --Uberfuzzy@Wikia 08:46, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
SMW has 102 Property, 104 Type, 106 Form, 108 Concept; that numbering is observed by Referata,, and, for example. Wikia's biggest users of SMW seem to have 302, 304, 306, and 308 for those, and 370 for Filter; see Third Age, GIKI, Yu-Gi-Oh, Familypedia, and probably Ragnarok2. ( clouds the picture by using 102 for Extension. I've asked a couple of questions there, about 102.) — Robin Patterson (Talk) 13:43, June 9, 2010 (UTC)

Can I change the {{ns:project}} on my wikia, and if I can, how can I do it? Dekac 19:25, September 4, 2009 (UTC)

Project pages are the sitename, use Special:Contact, and ask them to change your namespace, or ask them to add a custom namespace with a name you want. Tedjuh10 - Talk 23:21, September 4, 2009 (UTC)

Top 10 list namespaces Edit

If a wiki admin goes to their Special:WikiFeatures on their wiki and turns on the Top 10 list for their wiki then they will get the following namespaces added to their wiki:

700 = Top 10 list
701 = Top 10 list talk

-- (M o r p h | C | T) 523 contributions and counting. 05:09, July 14, 2011 (UTC)

Use lua to generate the tables of namespaces Edit

I can see that this section is already out of date because it lacks the recently added module namespace. Rather than wasting time updating this over and over. I suggest that you use a simple module to generate this data:

for i,v in pairs( do

In fact lua could be used to keep a lot of these libraries up to date automatically.Dessamator (talk) 16:14, August 5, 2015 (UTC)
