What about images with link?

I'm finding a way to use this function for linked images:

[[File:example.jpg|link={{#NewWindowLink:http://google.com/}}]]

But it didn't work. I guess it would be helpful if something like the format above was supported. What do you think about it? Cafeinlove 07:08, May 9, 2012 (UTC)

You can do this like this:

<span class="plainlinks">{{#NewWindowLink:http://google.com/|[[File:example.jpg|link=]]}}</span>

Note that the |link= IS need to avoid the image linking to the standard image location. Also, the span removes the external site link icon, which kinda feels clunky on image links. ☙Fewfre​☎ 🔎 K​🧀​20:03 Sat, 16 Aug 2014
