Is there Mediawiki: pages to translate this thing ? --Tůζip Võrζąx 08:34, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
I hope someone is watching this ... How can i
- put a poll in a template and have a different poll for each article that uses the template?
- layout the poll to the top right of my page?
Thanks, bastl 14:27, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hey! That's what I want to know, too! I did both of those things, here, but the problem that I see is that if you put the template on multiple pages, all your poll data is going to dump back onto your template page. So until someone can figure that out for me (perhaps it will even be me who figures it out, but not at this time of night/morning), the template option is still only a pale dream. You could still put the poll itself in a box, though, or a table, to get it where you want it on the page. At least, that's what I would do - but I do things the quick and dirty way because that's all I know. If you figure it out, let me know! --thisniss 08:41, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
Manipulating votes
Edit
In the How it works section it states:
- Votes are registered under either your username or, if you're not logged in, your IP address. This means that it is easy to manipulate the results, and the poll feature should not be used for important purposes.
Couldn't an administrator block a poll page from those who aren't logged in, thus lessening the chance of vote manipulation? Jaywin 15:12, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Bugs?
Edit
It´s a nice feature, but:
- There is impossible to use wiki-format inside the poll.
- Any edit within the poll anulates results.
Could someone change it? --Karkos 15:02, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
