  • Hi there, I couldn't help but notice how great your switch template looked on the Runescape wiki. I was wondering if I could get the coding installed on another wiki, with your permission of course...?

  • Hey, I saw your 'tundra' script on Github. Would you mind if I tried it out on Wikia? I would certainly credit you for it.

    • Oh, no. I was suggesting if you just wanted to try things out and see the result, using a console might be better for you than editing pages and having to refresh constantly. Are you having trouble using the script? :c

    • No, I haven't used it yet, actually. I'll try it sometime tonight or tomorrow, but for now some people want me to play on their Team Fortress 2 server. :P

  • So I tried explaining it in chat, but my CP was glitching, so Ill explain it here. http://xiaolinpedia.wikia.com vs http://xiaolinpedia.wikia.com?wikiagrid=1&wikiafullheader=1 . As you can tell, the border returns, and the content explands, but the background (blurry) does not. Any ideas?

    • Here's a stylesheet I came up with:

      #WikiaPage {
          border: none;
          -webkit-box-shadow: none;
          box-shadow: none;
      }

      #WikiaPageHeader {
          margin: 0 10px;
      }

      #WikiaArticle {
          padding: 0 10px;
      }

      body:not(.oasis-one-column) #WikiaMainContent {
          width: 680px;
      }

      body.oasis-one-column:not(.editor) #WikiaMainContent {
          width: 1020px;
      }

      #WikiaRail {
          width: 325px !important;
      }

      #WikiaSearch, #WikiaRail > .module {
          margin-right: 0 !important;
      }

      Note that it will break the layout without ?wikiagrid=1&wikiafullheader=1 applied. Also keep in mind that some of the changes there can be made just by modifying the custom css you already have loading sitewide. Anyway, add that to your wikia.css and tell me if it does the job. On the note of the background, I see absolutely no difference in it side-by-side on my desktop screen (1360 x 768px) or on my netbook screen (1024 x 600px).
