Hi Angela , I'm Gateling , the father of User:Bounty killer . From yesterday night he can't open any page on Star Wars Bounty Hunter Wiki from his computer . We both work on that wiki , but with my computer he can enter . I don't know if it's a malware or a fandom problem , but this is a trouble . He can't access in Star Wars Bounty Hunter Wiki but in the others wiki where he works , he can enter . Can you help him ? Thanks Best regards , Danilo De Col
Since about 6 days ago, I saw a category in Roblox the Quarry Wiki. In Unobtainium it got a category called Smelly Ore. I tried my best to find him/her, and I did. It was a wikia contributer.
Same thing last night, when the wiki got vandalized again with another category--that wasn't supposed to even BE there! Fortunately, I got instructions from Roblocx, and tried my best to delete this page. Unfortunately, I couldn't.
2 changes I will ask--
The first is that you could delete pages, with the moderation system.
The second is that only people with accounts could edit.
Hi Angela, I am Leon Davis, the most active Bureaucrat on The Bill Wiki: thebill.wikia.com
I have had several incidents involving two users, one who has been blocked more than once, and started a new IP address, and they were blocked for inserting rude and offensive material into articles (jokes about rent boys, genitals and general immature jokes).
Another user first registered as User:Niamhdugan they have been inserting gibberish into articles and has now started multiple user IDs such as 184.108.40.206 and 220.127.116.11.
Would it be possible to have these users blocked from ever creating a new account. I want my wiki to run smoothly, it's a small but strong team, and I don't want this. Please return a message on my User talk on The Bill Wikia. Thanks
I suggest IP range blocking if the blocked users have similar IPs e.g. 18.104.22.168 and 22.214.171.124. The same goes for the other IP range you mentioned. You can do this by appending /16 to the end of the page URL when on the block special page e.g. http://community.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Block/126.96.36.199/16
Ozuzanna, hand it to Leon Davis, I just only added some info here, not starting the topic.
Yes, I was speaking to Leon Davis.
Adding on to what was said before, range blocks are better suited here than global blocks as the range block will cover multiple, similar IPs (such as dynamic LAN IPs) which is more effective than just blocking a static, single IP global block. Global blocks are only issued for ToU violations or cross-wiki vandalism.
I think you should block the users yourself. Staff are not necessarily needed to block the IP ranges, if you need any help regarding how to do it feel free to reply.
