• Hey there Dunnoob. Thanks for contributing to our help resources! I just wanted to let you know that I've redirected Help:Oasis to Help:Layout. Oasis is a term that is  sometimes used for the Wikia skin, but it's not the actual name of the skin, nor is it one that we use in any official capacity. The skin is officially referred to as Wikia, and the Help:Layout page gives a simple explanation of it with links to other components of the skin.

If you have any questions about this, just let me know. Thanks!

    • I'll take a look at the links you added to Help:Oasis more in-depth on Monday, to see what/if could be added and where. I wouldn't revive Help:Skins, though; skin and layout are synonymous, hence why one redirects to the other.

    • From my POV the connotations are rather different. A "skin" is something simple any registered user can pick, like a "theme". A "layout" is something complex requiring advanced skills (CSS, JS, MediaWiki PHP) and elevated rights (founder, developer, admin, or similar.)

  • There's no need to clean up profiles. This wiki doesn't really care about redlinks or broken categories. If Wikia wants to clean it up, they'll do it.

  • The pages I tagged for deletion were to revert vandalism to those pages by a user who arbitrarily decided to de-pluralise some help pages without even asking if it was needed. The redirects need to be deleted to avoid confusing editors for incorrect names, especially since templates are not referred to in the singular in any case. Whether it fails globally or not is not very relevant, as there was never a redirect there in the first place.

  • Hello there! You wrote Documentation/end box/doc, Documentation/end box2/doc, and Documentation/start box/doc. I was wondering if you would complete the series by writing Documentation/docspace/doc, Documentation/start box2/doc, and Documentation/template page/doc? I don't know what those subpages are doing. Lady Aleena (talk) 06:31, October 22, 2017 (UTC)

I nowiki'd the links to make them unwanted. Lady Aleena (talk) 06:58, October 27, 2017 (UTC)

    • I think I got the gist of that. Just create it without anything in it except a template type and a category. Lady Aleena (talk) 06:52, October 27, 2017 (UTC)

  • Please remove the link to Project:Poweruser from your message here, since it shows up as a wanted page, and there's no reason for the page to exist, so it would be greatly appreciated if you would remove the link to it.
