Yeah, it is the mini editor thing. How would I go about disabling it? It's really not needed.

  You can probably talk to the staff about it if it gets to be too much of a problem, but that text box thing sounds like something that could easily be fixed through css.

  Edit:

  .MiniEditor #WikiaArticleComments .MiniEditorWrapper .editarea textarea {
      background-color: white;
      color:black;
  }

  If you put the above in your wikia.css file on your wiki, it will change the text area to be white with black text.
