I'd like to have it where you need at least one administrator or an approved chat moderator to be in the chat to keep it open. On the Taylor Swift wikia I regularly have to delete spam and vandalism, normally from random IP addresses. Several users want a chat, but I don't some fans showing up to chat about her new album only to find a bunch of jerks harassing people, as I know will certainly happen.
Thanks for this suggestion! I'll send it over to our product team.
Regarding vandalism on the Taylor Swift wiki - I'm sorry to hear the wiki gets that kind of attention. Just to clarify, only logged in users can access chat so anonymous users won't be able to access chat and troll.
I see the wiki (taylorswift.wikia.com) is doing great and traffic has really increased! Congrats! Often times, when a subject is getting press and mentions in the media, trolls will vandalise which is really annoying. Did you know we have a volunteer spam and vandalism team who can help you out? Check them out on VSTF - they will be able to help.
I know it would be fitting to contact you on wikipedia but it is easier for me to do so here. I was wondering why the Bible Sutdy Wiki page was deleted. I made the page and i am an admin on it as well. Please answer me on my talk page on Wikipedia. I am superdadsuper on wikipedia. Thank you!

The page Message Wall is not a feedback page. It is an informational page designed to let users know all about Message Wall and upcoming features that will be added to it.
Message Wall is and (as far as staff have said) will always be optional. You can turn it off on your wiki at Special:WikiFeatures. Also, the thread you link to mentions nothing about the optionality of message Wall, so I have no idea where you got that idea in the first place. :)
The Message Wall page says: "Q: Will this feature be optional?
A: Message Wall is scheduled to be in Labs in January. We will make more feature changes based on usage statistics and feedback before determining its next phase. "
And its talk page is now blocked from future posts, all those posting before that change complaining it was not optional.
The talk page was locked almost a year ago, because it was not the place to leave feedback. If you want to leave feedback about Message Wall, you can via the comments on technical updates, or via Special:Contact.
Message Wall is here to stay. It is optional. Complaining to staff about an optional feature that was introduced almost a year ago is pretty silly.
