We've been running into problems running some things there as all the admins (even the founder) seemed to have disappeared. The last active one named Nier1411 wanted to promote some of us to admin status (since they weren't quite active anymore either; I had to look up their personal site to get a hold of them) but could not do so since they weren't of bureaucrat status? They tried asking the founder to promote them, but the founder has stopped replying for a long while. As a fan of the game, I've been trying my best to help manage, clean up and update the wiki, but it's hard when there's no admins to help out lock pages that sometimes get vandalized and such? I'm not quite sure what to do..? :c
Hey Knakveey, I promoted two users to rollback, but I want the banner next to their name to say Patroller instead, but the banner's not showing up at all for the two users. Also, last week I demoted RainingPain17 (because he told me to) as well as Smashbro8 and TacticalMaster, for being inactive and violating the policy about inactive admins. But it still says Admin next to their names. Can you help me out with these problems? Thank you.
Hey, I've decided to contact you here, as here, the other users on the Watch Dogs Wiki won't find this so easily, so we can discuss, me and you. I saw your offer about me stepping up to achieve bureaucrat status on the Watch Dogs Wiki, and I think that's a great idea. Yes, I am busy with my job in reality, but I also have free time so I can be on the wiki, like now. I feel that the Wiki needs an active bureaucrat (as currently there are no active bureaucrats), and I am worthy enough to be that bureaucrat. It'd sure make a lot of things easier on that wiki. So, since you're staff, you have the priveleges to promote me, so if you could do so, that would be extremely epic. Thank you for the opportunity.
So now that RainingPain17, the other admin on the WD Wiki, has retired (almost), I am the only admin on there now. Some people have already voted yes to me becoming b'crat, so when should we close the thread and I'll be promoted? Pretty soon I guess.
Hello Knakveey! Apprentice from the Battlefield Wiki again regarding the portable infobox you and Czechout started working on for us. I'm wanting to migrate the template over, but there is a small issue with the image section of it at the moment. Some of the weapons we use the infobox for have more than one in-game model, so we use a tabber to represent them in the infobox (M1911#Battlefield_3 is a good example), and the current draft does not appear to work correctly with Tabbers at the moment. I am unable to fix it myself, so if you or another staff member would be willing to take a look it would be very appreciated. Thanks, and sorry for the late reply on my part this time! -Apprentice125(Talk) 02:22, September 9, 2015 (UTC)
Tabber will be implemented into the new infoboxes in the future. It's in the works and will hopefully be here sooner than later. If I get more information, I'll let you know.
sorry it took this long to respond, but please be informed that at least two of us admins are aware of the developments to this feature. personally i might take a look into the conversion and implementation side of things, but owing to real life (me and most of the leadership are probably in the same boat) i make no promises.
Thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate you taking the time to look at the new infoboxes. It will be a big help to users who are looking at the wiki on mobile... especially when the new ME game comes out.
But of course, real life takes precedent.. so whenever you have time!
Hi there. As a fellow editor I saw this message on w:c:Masseffect:User talk:Elseweyr. I made some edits to the CC Help:PortableInfoboxes to aim to get some action to clarify it too. I am no advanced editor but I will look into it as I am interested with templates. One of the issues of the autotool is that the colours are disrupted slightly, for example: see this template on MEwk for a before/after. I don't imagine that will pass snuff with TE78 and I will have to learn more before I can fix it, or get the time to devote to that wiki to get consensus on a forum post.
