Hi. I am Acejeramgokato who are requesting to adopt the wiki Digimon Linkz Wikia. I just provided my adoption request page link. Active user SwiftShock's link just turned red in the Local list users. I don't know what does that mean but I had contacted him/her. Another active user just added a new page into the wiki a while ago and his/her username is Rushdiey. I had talked to him regarding the adoption of the wiki and he replies, the image attached is our conversation just now.
Actually what I wanted to know is what happens next in this process. What will I do after they refuse to be the admin of the wiki? Thank you for responding in advance.
Thought I could add to ComeToBasil that yourself and your friend can both apply on the same adoption to gain rights if you both agree. If you both consent to a dual adoption, you can agree to it in a thread and post the link to it in your adoption. Though, like Lord Ghiraim said, you guys will need a week of editing to succeed. So I would recommend starting a public thread on you guys adopting the Wiki together and if your friend agrees to adopt it with you, he can say in that thread.
Thank you both, the main concern is with locking the Wiki down as soon as possible, a week means more work if spammers and vandalism get to it. I have more work on the Wiki than him, but he has been editing in the community longer, so is this the best way to go forrwards?
Sorry English is not my native language, but thanks for your help.
I will look into how to create a public thread with him.
Adoptions can take anywhere from 1-2 weeks for Staff to review so you'll need to complete the 7 day requirement and after that, you'll still need to edit every day or two (like one edit to show you're still active) until your adoption is reviewed by Staff.
As Lord Ghiraim said on the adoption, report vandalism here and they'll block any troublesome users.
As far as what's best to go forward, if you both are committed to the Wiki, I think both of you should adopt it together if you agree :)
Generally, only reply if there's a criterion that still needs to be addressed, like a discussion blog or activity. If the adoption seems to meet all the criteria, no need to reply. It may well be the user has a block we don't know about, and telling them may give them a false impression.
