Hi there, I couldn't help but notice how great your switch template looked on the Runescape wiki. I was wondering if I could get the coding installed on another wiki, with your permission of course...?
Of course! It's there to be used. :P You don't need to give me any more credit than what's already in the files or in the URL. The documentation is seriously lacking for it at the moment, but I am working on it. There's some stuff for it here, but there isn't a massive amount. You might be able to look at the source and lookup things you aren't certain of, but it is written in CoffeeScript so that could be difficult.
It will move the page just like moving any other page through Special:MovePage. As in, it will take the history with it, you know, create a redirect if you don't suppress it; the usual.
You may wish to be careful with some of those functions like delete and block; they can be quite powerful accidentally. A sandbox wiki is probably most suitable for messing around with it. If you need one, I can sysop you temporarily on w:c:matthew2602 so you can mess around with it. :P
Oh, no. I was suggesting if you just wanted to try things out and see the result, using a console might be better for you than editing pages and having to refresh constantly. Are you having trouble using the script? :c
Note that it will break the layout without ?wikiagrid=1&wikiafullheader=1 applied. Also keep in mind that some of the changes there can be made just by modifying the custom css you already have loading sitewide. Anyway, add that to your wikia.css and tell me if it does the job. On the note of the background, I see absolutely no difference in it side-by-side on my desktop screen (1360 x 768px) or on my netbook screen (1024 x 600px).
