  • So, on my wiki I have posted your chat hacks for the chat options, and yes I did it in the Java Script page. Basically what is happening is that the chat hacks don't show up, I don't see any options or emotions.

    • Yes, I had already enabled it before installing the script

    • It's very likely that it's an old and broken version of ChatHacks. Replace your chat.js with
      importArticle({
          type: 'script',
          article: 'u:dev:MediaWiki:ChatHacks.js'
      });

  • This one might be a strange request, but it might be good to allow each user a specific "leaving chat" message, rather than just what the wiki chooses. I'm not sure if it's possible, or who to send this to, so that's why you're getting it. Sorry for the annoyance if it caused any.

  • Hi,

    I'm writing to you about the chathacks. The user GnadetheRipper uses the chathacks in his global.js, but has no AFK button in the chat. I also use the chathacks in my global.js, but I have an AFK button.

    Can you help GnadetheRipper?

    Greetings,

    Klap Trap

    • ChatHacks assume the user is joining chat through the chat button in the sidebar, which is a really messy solution. If they want ChatHacks to be working no matter how they entered chat, they should import them through their chat.js page instead.

    • Do you mean a local chat.js page or a global page here?

        Loading editor
    • Local chat.js page, if they wanted it imported globally they could try using GlobalChatJS but that is only a bit newer solution to ChatHacks' for importing chat.js globally as far as I'm aware.
