  • Hello.
    I have removed inappropriate language from your user page. That sort of language is not acceptable here, so please refrain from it in future.

    • PapiDimmi, please pay attention to Sannse's post. Swear language indeed goes against Community Central rules - while it is more serious if directed at people, it is not permitted even if it is not directed at anyone.
      If you continue to use swear language, then you will be blocked again.

  • The links work, so changing them is not necessary. Your change to the category breaks the alphabetization of the page (putting it under H instead of P).

    Bert has already asked you not to make changes to the help pages today. But it is also not polite to re-add the same changes after staff or admins have reverted them. If you do not understand the reversion, then leave a message instead of immediately replacing the text.

      The link syntax is something we use to preserve the original links in the shared help space on other wikis and do not want to change; it doesn't matter if it opens in another window or not, as long as the links themselves work.

      The help page had been moved to "H" in the help category instead of "P" when you had changed the category. I checked before reverting it. But even if it had not, removing the pagename key-sort was unnecessary. It wasn't broken.

      The recent format changes and minor adjustments you are making to help pages, the spotlights page, templates, and other similar pages, are not helpful. In general, those pages should only be edited to correct errors (links which are broken, typos), or occasionally to remove outdated information and broken links. And right now, as Bert said, we would prefer that you not make changes.

      On a wiki on which I’m an administrator, we don’t use page name sortkeys, and catergories still work like they should. Sortkeys are only used if pages in a category should be sorted differently than by default; using the page name as the sort key changes nothing and is therefore unnecessary.

      First you say that the new-window links work, and now you say that it doesn’t matter if they don’t work. The new-window links do not work; it is better if we use regular wikilinks, since if we do, the icon next to the links will not appear.

      I did not revert your revision. First, I undid it and explained why. When you reverted it and left a message on my wall, I simply fixed the punctuation, which you reverted without explaining why—I also removed the page name sortkey, which is, like I said, unnecesary.

    • You are confusing the links working (they do) with the new window working. Staff had made the decision to leave the links within the template on all of the shared help pages.

      I have not, in fact, reverted the punctuation. But harmless or not, adding it back when you had been asked multiple times to stop editing help pages is wrong.

      I am going to ask you to refrain from editing help pages, templates, and other "official" pages on this wiki for 1 month while we finish transitioning everything. If you ignore this request, as you did the previous ones, then we will have to block you to enforce it.

  • Please leave Help page updates to Wikia Staff for now, espeically related to the new brand name. Thanks!

    • There were some small differences in the changes that I had made. We have some terminology guidelines that we are following with regard to the updates. So in that sense, for this specific set of changes, the staff-made edit is the preffered one.

      Please don't be discouraged from making changes to help pages in the future, I don't mean to make you feel that you were doing something wrong. It's just some unforunate timing today.

      Thanks again for being willing to help out!

      Then you could’ve edited the page after my edit, instead of reverting my changes.

  • Edits to user pages — with the exception of reverting vandalism, spam or anonymous edits — should only be done by the user themselves. For adoption requests however, this doesn't count. The point is to aid the requestor in having the request page look similar to others, to ease the requesting process. Please don't revert edits, especially not from users like Annabeth and Percy who has been doing this long enough to know what she's doing. Reverting spam, vandalism or overwritings by new users is fine.

  • Eyy Papi,

    I don't know if you remember, but a little while ago, you were on the Elena of Avalor Wiki chat. Then, Bionicforce banned/blocked you. Well, I'm here to say that that block will last for another six months. (Bionicforce wanted to keep it forever, but I told him/her that you were an admin on the Ratchet and Clank Wiki, so they changed it to six months.)

    I hope I didn't mess up your day, and I apologize in advance if I did.

    Thanks! :)

  • Your edits to several pages brought up a good question - should user groups be capitalized or not? We're giving it some thought, but it looks like we're likely to come down on "don't capitalize them".

    However, that's on us to change it (especially since 'Content Moderator' and others are written that way in site code, not just help pages), so I suggest just not being overly concerned about whether they are or aren't at the moment.

    Anyway, just wanted to give you a heads up in case you were thinking of specifically changing it in more places :)

  • Hi, thanks for your work around the site :)

    I'm not sure why you are renaming things like Help:Templates to Help:Template though. The page is about more than one template, so it makes more sense for it to be plural

    Singular would work for something like Help:Admin Dashboard because there's only one of the (per wiki anyway), but many other pages should be plural.

  • Why do you want to close the post but not remove it? There’s no reason to close it. This thread may help users who find it in the future. Just because a problem’s solved doesn’t mean that the thread needs to be closed. I’m pretty sure that thread closing is only needed when a thread is frequently spammed or discussion is derailed.

    To be nice to Sannse. A technical reason too - say Mime is trawling message walls. He will have to restore my thread and then delete it as there is no preview. (I've done it before.)

    There's lots of instances in which someone might need to restore all threads, like if other users try to harass a target and then remove the evidence, or if I did the same.

    • I have my personal preference, which is fine. There is an obvious primary reason why one would have a thread closed, to truly signify that the conversation has been finalized. I don't like the depth or tone of this conversation considering its kinda minor subject.

      I rarely lose my cool on the Internet as I have now, apologies and thank you for your time.

  • Hello. ^-^
    You closed your thread regarding block button in AjaxDiff, so I could not respond there which is why I am leaving it here.
    Actually, what the user said there is not correct: you can hide the block button in AjaxDiff. You just have to use the following CSS code for it:
    .modalToolbar a#blockbutton {
      display:none;
    }
