  • Hello Raylan13,

I am PegasusMan, an admin on the Donkey Kong Wiki.  We have conversed in the past regarding some technical problems of mine, but lately, an issue that I believed to have settled seems to be stirring once again.  The issue involves "The Great Ape War".  As written in the "Warning" at the beginning of the page, nearly all of the page's contents are theoretical information, research, and speculation; things that do not belong on a wiki based on offical information.  However, I believe that although the page is not concrete facts, it is possibly the wiki's best chance at attracting more users to join it.  So, after much thought and multiple users sharing their opinions on whether or not the page should exist (see the comments for the full argument), I have decided to consider the possibility of deleting the page for the wiki's sake.  After all, as the comments read, the page goes against Donkey Kong Wiki's Rules & Guidelines.

I would like to get your opinion on this issue as I feel that if the page should be deleted, I may have committed my worst mistakes as an administrator of Donkey Kong Wiki.

    Thank you,

    PegasusMan

    • Ultimately it's local administration's decision as to whether any sort of content remains on the wiki ;) If the users are in agreement that something should be deleted, and the reasons are valid, there's nothing stopping you from doing so, especially if it is against the site's policies.

That being said, there is a warning at the top of the page, and it appears that (really) only two users are recently very vocal about its inclusion. In the rules it only states that speculation and theory may be reverted or deleted, not that it certainly will.

But a strong case for keeping it would be because the wiki (and page) was recently featured on Kotaku: https://kotaku.com/the-donkey-kong-timeline-is-truly-disturbing-1823035151

    • Thank you for your reply!

Now that I have seen evidence of the benefits of the page, I have decided to let it be.  Thanks for the article!

  • I just wanted to say that I'm sorry about my edits on those two wikis. I should have done better things with my time there. I'm not asking to be unblocked or anything, I just wanted to apologize.

    • It's more than two wikis. Those are just the two I happened to ban you on. If you want to be a contributor, I heartily recommend reevaluating how and why you edit.

    • I'll give those two things some thought.

  • Hello, my name is Andrew. I'm here to ask you about the photo you published in Ori and the Blind Forest wikia. ([[1]]) Please, I need to know if you have a demo version of "Ori and the Lament of the World". If you have free time, please answer. Thank you.

  • Hey, so on this template it lists all of the Arrowverse shows together (except for Supergirl). That links to the Supergirl Wiki that now forwards to the Arrowverse wiki. Can you please add Supergirl to that list and remove the link to Supergirl Wiki? Thanks, {{SUBST:User:IHHeroes/sig}}

  • Hey, please you can add "liampayne.wikia.com" on Template:FooterPopMenMusic. Thank you

    • I'll check on it this Friday ;)

    • For now, the page count is too low to be included; however, I have added it to the list of submissions so that I can regularly check in on it and will place it in the footer once the minimum is reached ;)

  • So its no longer called Wikia?

      Loading editor
    • When talking about sites, the determination was made a while ago to call them "wikias". Since then, the shift has been made to return to calling them "wikis". So rather than bug admins about swapping things (back) around, we're doing it ourselves ;)

  • Can i use part of your code from the K-POP music footer wiki to make a WIP Template, i want it look good and i like the way the footer looked. It has a different watermark but it uses exacly the same code, so i was worried if it would be okay with you to use the code for different purpose.

  • What are the rules for creating an Interwiki footer template?

    ex.

      Loading editor
    • There are two different types of footers: those that are community-made and maintained, and those that are FANDOM-made and maintained.

Anyone can make an interwiki footer for a subject of their choice, provided it doesn't appear to be FANDOM-created or maintained, i.e. using FANDOM-created logos and images and/or linking to the official footer program. The other thing to consider is avoiding creating duplicate footers that are already established, whether community- or FANDOM-made.

To have a footer created that is part of the FANDOM footer program (Television, Gaming, Literature, or Music), users can submit the idea to that particular program and suggest sites to be reviewed for inclusion. Once 10 sites are approved, the footer will be created and launched.

  • Hi, I'm Anzu, a moderator of the Roblox Wikia. This is a post on behalf of Acebatonfan with her written content below because for some odd reason she's unable to post to your wall at the moment:

Hi! I noticed that you recently changed the Roblox Wikia's wordmark and renamed the wiki from Roblox Wikia to Roblox Wiki on Project:Home. Some of the other administrators/moderators and I are confused as to why this was done. There's an official Roblox Wiki project hosted outside of the Wikia, and it was imperitive that we have our name as Roblox Wikia to differentiate ourselves from the official wiki. I'm wondering if you could rename the wiki back to Roblox Wikia along with reversion of the changes, or tell us your rationale for the change. Thanks!

  • Hi, Raylan13. I am an administrator from the Roblox wikia. According to this template, it says "ROBLOX" but it was recently rebranded as "Roblox". Can this be fixed on the template? Ty.
