I am a really big fan of your work on all the Narita wikis, especially Baccano. I have been interested in naritaverse for a long time now (Have watched Durarara & Baccano animes and also read some baccano light novels) currently trying to get into Vamp, it seems like an interesting series. I have several questions I want to ask you but before that let me tell you that I come from a character indexing wiki and I am the main contributor for Baccano, do you think these profiles are accurate? Ladd Russo, Ronny Schiatto.
I am a little conflicted, because it appears that some of the information on your Ladd and Ronny pages was copied from the Baccano! wiki. See user Jaften's February 2016 edit to Ladd's page and your original creation of Ronny's page (the writing is definitely from older versions of Ladd's and Ronny's pages on the Baccano! wiki, and ought to be rewritten).
If you consult FANDOM policy, you'll find in the terms and agreements that copying material from another wiki is allowed if you credit that wiki. Failing to attribute is a violation of those terms.
Please give the Baccano! wiki credit where it is due on each relevant article. Proper attribution, as indicated in the aforementioned terms, incudes proving a hyperlink to the copied page (and indicating your own changes). I really do not mean to sound accusatory, but I hope you understand why I am concerned.
I will be happy to discuss Vamp! and the Naritaverse with you at any time - and I sincerly mean that - and thank you for the compliment, but I am afraid as it stands I won't feel comfortable checking the accuracy of pages partially plagarized from the very wiki I maintain. If you/the admins of your wiki agree to source the Baccano! wiki - and do - I'll take a look then.
Oh I am terribly sorry for that, I did not know these policies, I will give credits to your wiki asfap on profiles made by me of course (Ronny and Cristopher), I will also try to do the same on other profiles.
Thank you. All of the pages which currently use or may eventually use Baccano! wiki content ought to be sourced. It is generally good practice to credit the source of one's information - in fact, it is better practice to ask permission first - but I wanted to assume your wiki was acting non-maliciously. Really, thanks for listening; I appreciate it.
I see. I do have to reiterate that when you credit the wiki, it would be better if you linked to the page you are copying from and not just acknowledge the wiki generally. So on Ronny's page you link to Ronny's page on the Baccano! wiki, Christopher's Baccano! wiki page on Christopher's page, and so on. I hope that Ladd's and the others will be similarly credited.
I also note that your credit is a little informal, especially in that it refers to you specifically. Might I suggest something like This article uses material from the "Ronny Schiatto " article on the Baccano! Wiki ...as a start?
At least this is being addressed now. I'm very grateful for your understanding; I admit that I was worried I might be taken as unreasonable, or pushy, so ultimately I really do appreciate you hearing my concerns. As I said I would, I'll look over the pages you linked and consider their accuracy - but that'll have to wait until later, since I need to catch a few hours sleep (it is five in the morning).
One more thing - I just now investigated the Editing Rules over on the VS Battles wiki, and I'd like to draw your attention to the following bullet point there:
Please do not plagiarise from other wikis or online databases. It is unprofessional and shows a lack of effort on the part of the user. If you are getting your information from another wiki, please rephrase and summarise the passage in your own words instead of simply copying it.
I do not want you to inadvertantly find yourself in trouble with the wiki's staff, so I thought I should point it out. You may want to consider rephrasing the relevant paragraphs if this concerns you. Crediting the Baccano! Wiki was an important first step, though, and I again want to express my appreciation for your mature response.
Hello, I was thinking on making a profile for Hawking, if he really is a sentient black hole and acts like a legit black hole then I have an idea what his tier would be, the only problem is his speed. Do you have any idea regarding how it moves and does it have any powers other than telepathy and its insane gravitational pull (If it acts like a real black hole). Any other inputs would also be greatly appreciated I will credit you in the profile. Also it does not seem to have any profile pic it seems.
I did offer my assistance, so don't worry about it. I've just been a little busy, sorry for the delay. I'm still going to have to get back to you for your Ladd and Ronny pages, but as for Hawking the Void...well, there's very little that we know about him. He very much is a sentient black hole, and his will is on a galactic scale (so he can communicate with every telepathic vampire on earth regardless of their location). He can have long telepathic conversations with vampires that are really only seconds long - the information is just compressed.
He's also extremely good at what Mirald calls "calculation and analysis" - he analyzes Relic and how much power Relic is using in a certain scene and he runs calculations on what would happen if Relic lashes out with all the power he's gathered up.
As for speed...? I mean, he's a black hole. He's stationary. That's what black holes do.
Honestly, there's so little information on him that I'm just going to copy his little bio for you:
Vamp!’s go-to character for power level inflation prevention. A black hole creature... Or rather, an actual black hole. A black hole with a sense of self that had been compiled by intense density. He emits mysterious signals from his body(?) and uses the power of his soul to convert them to messages that ignore travel time and sends them to Earth. But it seems that only vampires and certain humans are capable of communicating with him. He has studied the mentality of Earthlings and tries to speak in accordance with what he has learned. Because he is a black hole, he obviously cannot move from where he is. “Know the taste of defeat... Come closer”, he could say. But no one can approach him, so he is thus far undefeated. And even if anyone did approach him, they would be flattened in an instant. In other words, he is the strongest. But all he can to do Earth is talk and watch. How he receives visual information is one of the Seven Mysteries of Vampirekind.
Big thanks!! Really appreciate the information, I have some other questions but I will only be sending you one at a time since you also have to manage 2 other wikis (Which is really hard, how do you manage it?!!) Also this has been in my mind for sometime, who do you think are the top 5 most powerful characters in Naritaverse?
Top five most powerful...well, that's a question that doesn't have an easy answer. There's an interview Narita supposedly did that claims to rank the strongest Naritaverse characters - here you go- but I strongly advise you do not take it as gospel, or even as a reliable source. First of all, its number one pick is No.37564 "Mob Combatant" from Hariyama-san, Center of the World. Now, don't get me wrong - 37564 is stong, incredibly strong, but the problem is I'm pretty sure Hariyama-san isn't actually part of the Naritaverse.
So. There's that.
Moving on...as Untuned-Strings once pointed out, Mob Combatant and Hawking are the only non-Baccano! and Durarara!! entries on there. That just doesn't make sense at all, and it's why you shouldn't put too much if any stock into this list. There are definitely Vamp! characters out there who would factor into that list's Tier 1 - Relic, certainly, along with maybe Garde or Zygmunt. Watt and Loa could potentially count for spoiler reasons. I figure that Etsusa Bridge character Yakumo Amagiri should have been up there too, since he's essentially the 'Vino' of that series.
Now, I've heard that this list isn't actually the real Narita Saikyou Q&A - a Q&A in which Narita supposedly does say that the top five strongest characters are Shizuo, Claire, and Ronny tied for third place, a yet-to-be-seen vampire (Hawking I assume) at second, and 1st Mob Combatant (Again, why is he included if not Naritaverse). Everything else on the list I linked you is 'fan speculation', not something Narita verified.
That sounds a little more believable, but honestly without an original source for this Q&A...I'd be leery of citing it. That being said, I wouldn't dispute Hawking as the top strongest - I mean, he's a black hole - and I do think of Shizuo, Claire, and Ronny as some of the strongest characters. But given how incredibly strong Relic is, I find it hard to believe Narita would have excluded him since that implies Claire or Shizuo could beat him, which...again, skepticism abound. Garde can reanimate corpses and have them do his bidding, meaning that he can summon a loyal (and unlimited) army of the undead. It's said that an all out conflict between Garde's undead and Zygmunt's subjugated would be absolutely devastating, a war that could wipe out Europe in its wake alone. (Gerhardt believes that Garde would ultimately win since he grows stronger in the presence of the dead, but that's just a belief).
Ah, it's tricky, it really is. The only thing I can say with confidence is that Hawking is the strongest (Narita literally called him "power level inflation preventor). I can't confidently say that Claire would be able to beat someone like Relic, who when driven to absolute despair in the fifth novel poses a genuine threat to the entire planet. The power he's building up is comparable to the size of the moon, meaning that he was capable in that moment of 'harnessing' something as big as the moon and making it a part of himself. The destruction of Earth was a genuine possibility.
I'll try to get to Ladd's page today, maybe look at it over lunch since I'm going to be busy with research at some point later on.
I see, btw can you explain a bit more about synchronization? I am not sure how Relic can destroy earth by synchronizing with something as large as the moon. I am also quiet interested in knowing how Yakumo Amagiri compares to Claire Stanfield. As always thank you for responding to my stupid questions lol.
