Hi WCDDoherty, staff generally don't remove bureaucrat rights unless the user has done something wrong or violated the Terms of Use.
However, if they have done something wrong, or if there's a clear consensus from the community members (for a specific reason) that the rights should be removed, staff can investigate further. Please contact staff at Special:Contact with links to those details if you feel strongly about pursuing the issue.
If you have a concern about the behavior of other people on your wiki or are involved in any sort of user conflict, you should email staff at Special:Contact, calmly and politely explaining whatever problems you're having.
Hi, yes the best way to chat with staff about these types of issues is to send in a message via Special:Contact. I would also recommend not visiting that wiki's chat if you are not getting along with the users there.
I've been looking at the pages to find how to modify the chat header, yet can't find it. How do you change the chat header to put info, links, etc in??
I don't know it off the top of my head - sorry! You can look in Special:Allmessages and search for chat. You may also just want to contact a wiki whose header you like and ask what they did.

I've been trying to change my avatar, and for whatever reason it isn't working. My new avatar shows up in the upper right hand corner, but on my userpage it just stays as my previous one. Is this some kind of bug in the Wikia system or something else entirely? Thank you!

@Eladkse Good point. I searched up MediaWiki:Chat-live, and MediaWiki:Chat-live2, and neither of them have the "[Wiki name]" there. I would like to get rid of it as well. Is there a MediaWiki page that says that name?
Hey, there's no need to create a new account unless you want to run a bot on it or use it with AutoWikiBrowser—you can access all Wikia wikis with the same account, except for a few large wikis, like Uncyclopedia or Memory Alpha, which have a separate user database.
