FootersEdit

I added the fall season footer to a whole slew of wikis, and now I've created a batch of more footers. You can see them all in the Footers category. Some of them need a graphic -- I listed them on your user page. The science fiction one is the only one that I'm hot for right now; the rest could wait. Mondays on NBCEdit

By the way, I moved the main pages on Chuck and Journeyman to say "Mondays on NBC" in the hope that it might help us out with the Google rankings. "Chuck" and "journeyman" are both really common words, so I don't know if people will find us just by searching for those. Lots of improvements and new features were suggested, and I hope you'll see these being implemented over time. Mass-welcoming users Edit

New Wiki Edit

Hi - I hope this is the right place to add this... I've just started a new wiki, and I'm not sure how to add skins. I posted on the forum, and Manticore suggested I contact one of you guys, and you seemed like the best bet :)

The styles I'm looking at are here: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Gallery_of_user_styles But I don't really have a clue. I added some CSS, but it hasn't made a difference, and I don't know where to put PHP/images etc.

I haven't gone into any depth with a logo etc yet, as I'm not sure if a skin is going to work, but ideally I'd like to start with "rounded blue edition" about halfway down that page. • Hello there. As the guy who set the layout for the Indiana Jones Wiki back in them thar Monaco times, could you help adapt our front page to The New Look, please? We've been impacted very little by the change except we don't have a logo that fits anymore and the templates are off, but since people like myself aren't skilled in that area, any help would be appreciated.     • If you make a comparision between the infobox on Raiders on Monaco and Wikia skins, the Wikia skin offsets the headers, adjusts the box width limit to the longest line (as opposed to the image) and there are no more line breaks to distinguish the fields, which no longer have the name then the list following on, it has the name at the middle of the list. If that makes sense. ;) The problem with the templates can seen be if you compare any of them really but future product and Verify are good examples. Wikia help Edit

I noteced that you are on many of the wikia websites based upon recently released and upcoming movie. I am assuming you work for wikia. An upcoming movie coming out in 2012 called john carter of mars has me concerned, it is based on a really old book series and it has alot of history and backstory to it. There is already 200 pages on Barsoom.wikia.com but that is the problem, most people dont know what the word barsoom even means or how it pertains to the john carter of mars series. The problem is i am worried that a new wiki will be created and showcased (like the gullivers travels wiki and the cowboys and aliens wiki) when a wiki for this franchise/intellectual property already exists. It is a strange concern, but as a huge fan of the series it is a concern. When i type "john carter of mars wiki" into a search engine, the wiki does not come up . . . this is the big problem. Is there anything you or anybody else can do to help to make sure this wiki is not overshadowed or discarded when the movie comes out . . . its a long way off but . . . as a fan i worry, im sorrry to have taken your time. ralok 19:51, December 28, 2010 (UTC)

Glee Wiki Edit

Hello Scarecroe.

I would like to complain about a certain admin on the Glee Wiki: Mr. Santana Lopez. He is very mean to my friends, especially GleeGirl, and I wouldn't expect this from an admin. I do understand that he probably won't get removed, but please do something. He is VERY rude, always cursing, and sometimes even banning people with no reason. Bleghh!!! would be a much better admin.

Johncarter.wikia.com used to redirect to Barsoom.wikia.com . . . . did you care to . . . give a little thought as to why that might be . . . . because I had already built a comprehensive databse on John Carter of mars . . . for wikia to use . . .for the community. There didnt need to be a new wiki on the exact same subject . . . And I wasnt approached about one of hte wikis redirects being used to make a new wiki . . . Sure I can understand if you want to make a new wiki solely for the film (which the wiki has info not confirmed for the films universe yet) but then you should have used johncartermovie.wikia.com instead of STEALING ONE from a wiki taht has been working hard to produce a great source for John Carter information . . . have you been to barsoom.wikia.com . . . . did you know that barsoom.wikia.com had a spotlight just last month . . . . did you notice when you were changing that wiki taht it redirected to another wiki . . . . did the thought ever cross your mind that . . . that wiki would be an actual place and not a land of make believe . . . I want an explanation . . . for why I wasnt approached for at least a merger for the wiki . . . why barsoom.wikia.com was completely ignored . . . and if not me why not user gnostic who actually founded barsoom.wikia.com ralok 06:39, October 9, 2011 (UTC)
