Welcome, Timeshifter, to Community Central!

We are a friendly community here; most of us are active on an individual wiki, and many of us are active on more than one.

If you're looking for help, use the Community Portal or Help Desk. For finding a helper or a staff, speaking your language, see the page Staff and Helpers by language. If your wiki needs something done, leave the details on the Volunteer Portal. If you need assistance from a member of staff, leave a message with one of the Community Team.

You can get live help from community members and staff in our IRC channel. There are also channels for larger Wikia and their communities. Here you can socialize and get to know your community!

If you have an idea for a new wiki, please let us know! Check out new wikis and see if any of them interest you. A directory of existing wikis is also available.

Finally, please keep an eye on the recent changes to see what the community is up to and to help revert spam and vandalism.

Starter kit Edit

Hello. You shouldn't have been able to edit the starter kit - it's the base wiki for all wikis to start from, so all edits should come from the Wikia staff :)

Regarding your specific notes, it's possible the categories hadn't repopulated since the import of the updated templates - the code works though, and it's almost identical to the Wikipedia method. However, I'll check over the other categories. A better place for template related matters is templates.wikia - edits there won't affect other wikis, and is intended as a public repository of useful templates. RE:Wiki farms Edit

Sorry I took so long to respond, I was on vacation and just got back. Anyway, there are many choices for wiki farms. First of all, you have to really think about the pros and cons of moving. Would it be easier to stay with Wikia? As for wiki farms, a list is available on the AWA's main page. You also might want to try ShoutWiki, the site the AWA is storing backups on. Another is Wikkii. There are a lot of users happy to help you with any move you have in mind.

Hm, actually..I found that wiki policy is actually supportive of what we practice. I will notify The 888th Avatar to let him do the deletion and not I, since I am not a bureaucrat at the Avatar Wiki.

Hello, TimeShifter I have been trying to fix a Template on Fan-Fiction Wiki (Template: Show) can you help me with the collapsing and the show and hide it just won't work and I'm at my wits end trying to figure what I did wrong.
