A category page is like any other wiki page, except it also automatically lists pages in the category and subcategories at the bottom. So you may want to make the "page" on a category page anyway. But it's up to you. You can also have a separate mainspace page/article and a category.
If you want to link to a category page, do this:
[[:Categorie:Factions|'''<span style="color:#8B4513">Factions</span>''']]
Note the colon (:) before "Categorie."
-
[[Categorie:Factions]]
categorizes the page into that category.
-
[[:Categorie:Factions]]
will create a link like it works with any other non-category page.
If you want to link to a main/article page, instead change it to:
[[Factions|'''<span style="color:#8B4513">Factions</span>''']]
To get source code to show up in your posts
- Use
<nowiki>
tags like this -
<nowiki>
{{!}}[[File:image.PNG|100px|link=Categorie:Factions|Factions]]<br />[[:Categorie:Factions|'''<span style="color:#8B4513">Factions</span>''']]</nowiki>
- Result
-
{{!}}[[File:image.PNG|100px|link=Categorie:Factions|Factions]]<br />[[:Categorie:Factions|'''<span style="color:#8B4513">Factions</span>''']]
- Or use
<syntaxhighlight>
tags (with lang="html5" for wiki code) like this -
<syntaxhighlight lang="html5">
{{!}}[[
File:image.PNG|100px|link=Categorie:Factions|Factions]]<br />[[:Categorie:Factions|'''<span style="color:#8B4513">Factions</span>''']]</syntaxhighlight>
- Result
{{!}}[[File:image.PNG|100px|link=Categorie:Factions|Factions]]<br />[[:Categorie:Factions|'''<span style="color:#8B4513">Factions</span>''']]
You can also use <pre>
tags, but they still allow some wikimarkup, like bold for instance. So... don't bother :P
