I get a notification from custom ways to die, community central, and sometimes odd1sout wiki even when there is none
Modern Fandom, if you can call it that, has good and bad. I put Discussions in the semi-bad pile, but I like the new navigation and headers. I don't like the customization limitations, but they are loosening.
My main wiki was created in February as well, even though I joined Fandom in March of this year.
Things I miss from classic wikia (note for some parts I wasn't there as I joined in September but I knew they would've been good):

I agree with liking Forums and the name "Wikia" better than the current stuff.
Who else agrees?

I have to agree with you. While Classic Wikia looked very nice, even though I joined Wikia in 2015, it actually looked pretty cool.
While Modern Wikia isn't extremely bad, there are a few things I dislike:
I don't mind anything else.
