  • So I went to France recently and I couldn’t access any wiki from there, always getting a message like “you don’t have permission to access this resource”. I found this pretty strange, anyone know why this might be? copyright laws or something?

    • Also tried several wifi source’s and same thing happened with all of them.

    • It might be the wifi's IP you used was globally blocked? Shared networks are bound to have been used for vandalism.

    • The blocking help page says if your blocked you can still read the wiki so it’s different for global blocks then?

    • Hey!

The only thing I can think of is that the actual wifi or ethernet network that you were on blocked going on FANDOM. It couldn't have been a block because blocks only prohibit you from editing, not viewing.

Did you try to access different networks while in France or did you only try to access FANDOM on one network?

    • I tried several networks but they were all public(ie not password protected).
