  • I know how to change it for headings but how do I change the general background? Here's what I have right now: http://clubpenguinarmy.wikia.com/wiki/Template:Infobox/Draft

    • No, you can't. Why would you not want to use CSS anyway?

    • Becuase I want to change it just for my infobox not the whole wiki.

    • u can use theme or theme-source parameters to style infobox.

    • Yeah but you can't change the general background with the article you linked

      That still requires CSS.

    • There is "username wikia.css" which only you can see the changes. Your "username wikia.css" would be http://clubpenguinarmy.wikia.com/wiki/User:BloodPanther73/wikia.css

      As posted above, you would use theme-source="variable-name" The downside of theme-source="variable-name" is it can't be used with...

      • accent-color-source="bkg"
      • accent-color-default="#FFF"
      • accent-color-text-source="txt"
      • accent-color-text-default="#000000"

      ...which already exists in the infobox

      As an example I tried to clone w:c:clubpenguinarmy:Romans In my username wikia.css I added the below. As the template is named "infobox", that is the theme-name I used

      .pi-theme-infobox { border: 1px solid #aaa; padding: 0.2em; background-color: #f9f9f9; color: black;
      }
      .pi-theme-infobox .pi-border-color { border: none;
      }
      .pi-theme-infobox .pi-image img { padding:0.5em;
      }
      .pi-theme-infobox .pi-title { background-color: gray; text-align: center; font-weight: bold;
      }
      .pi-theme-infobox .pi-header { background-color: gray; text-align: center;
      }
      .pi-theme-infobox .pi-navigation { background-color: #f9f9f9; text-align: center; font-style: italic; font-weight: normal;
      }

      Important: then refresh your browser

      Add theme-source="variable-name" into your infobox. As "motto" is unique with italic and center alignment, it is using <navigation>

      <infobox theme-source="template">
      	<title source="title"><default>{{PAGENAME}}</default></title>
      	<image source="image"></image>
      	<data source="caption"></data>
      	<group>
      	<header>Motto</header>
      	<navigation>{{{motto|None}}}</navigation>
      	</group>
      	<group>
      	<header>Information</header>
      	<data source="founded"><label>Founded</label><default>?</default></data>
      	<data source="founder"><label>Founder(s)</label><default>?</default></data>
      	<data source="status"><label>Status</label><default>?</default></data>
      	<data source="leader"><label>Leader(s)</label><default>?</default></data>
      	<data source="members"><label>Members</label><default>?</default></data>
      	<data source="max"><label>Max</label><default>0</default></data>
      	<data source="servers"><label>Servers</label><default>None</default></data>
      	</group>
      	<group>
      	<header>Foreign Relations</header>
      	<data source="enemies"><label>Enemies</label><default>None</default></data>
      	<data source="allies"><label>Allies</label><default>None</default></data>
      	</group>
      </infobox>

      Include "template" variable-name when using the infobox

      {{Infobox/Draft
       | template = infobox

      }}

      Personal css

    • I get the impression that BloodPanther73 was hoping to have every user see the modified colors but cannot use site CSS as (s)he is not an admin. Especially given what you have found about the default template, the answer is, "it isn't possible".
