  • Here are the release notes for FANDOM's code release scheduled for February 15, 2018:

    • NOTABLE: We will remove the 'Powered by Wikia' bar from the mobile layout.
    • BUGFIX: We will fix an issue with the classic rich text editor where incorrect text could be displayed when quoting Forum or Message Wall posts.
    • BUGFIX: We recently fixed an issue with special characters in wiki names displaying badly on Help:Discussions.

    • Quick update: we're aware of some problems being exhibited in IE11 after today's release, which have been reported to the technical team.

If you are still using IE11, we strongly recommend considering a switch to a more modern browser, if only for your own online security.

That is a pretty light way of putting it.

    • Most JS does not work now well in IE11 including the search bar or editor does not load. While it plays well in its Successor of IE, namely MSEdge.

    • If you are still supporting IE in any version, I strongly recommend to drop it and focus on more modern browsers, if only to save your coders from headaches.

    • Unfortunately, Edge is missing some key features that many companies need, so they won't switch. MS just sucks at making browsers.

It still loads it perfectly. Just only CK Editor sucked at the new update in that browser and now it is disabled to make editing possible again.

They only support IE11, not earlier versions.

That's excellent! The messed up quotes were really annoying.

I believe what Fandyllic meant was that companies won't install MS Edge, they will just keep EI11. Which gets brings up the point that you don't always have a choice of browsers. Sure, if you are using a personal computer that you bought and/or own outright, yeah, you can easily switch to Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. But it the computer you using is owned by an organization, you likely will not the required permissions to install those browsers; and telling your boss you want to spend work time chatting about video games it not going to convince him/her to make an exception.

By the way, while in Chrome, the top ad is interfering with my global navigation bar. Is anyone else having this issue?

Yep... JS did not load, only CSS assets and user css/js
