I wonder how to change the background color of the infobox. I mean, where to put the command line and such in the template. Or is there an easier way? I doubt it. Everything seem so complicated here, argh! But I'm willing to learn.

Remember if you post for help always give a link to the page you're talking about it's more helpful than pictures. But if you're talking about the bimbo in the desert wiki, you go to http://bimbointhedesert.wikia.com/wiki/MediaWiki:Common.css and you change where it says "background-color: #f9f9f9;" and change the code to the code of the colour you want. (you can use something like http://www.colorpicker.com/ to find out the colour code)
It did not work even though I changed it where you said, and also refreshed the page. :/
http://bimbointhedesert.wikia.com/wiki/MediaWiki:Common.css
And as you see, it is still the same color:
http://bimbointhedesert.wikia.com/wiki/Sandbox
Maybe it's because it's about a new template called Template:CharacterInfoBox that I created, instead of the standard Template:InfoBox
EDIT: By the way, no it's not, because the standard infobox is also the same color.
background-color: #EBDAEA;to
background-color: #EBDAEA !important;it should override what the theme designer is telling it, it sometimes takes a while to update after you edit as well
The code that Acer posted is correct, but MediaWiki:Common.css is not imported by default.
You first need to add to the top of your MediaWiki:Wikia.css:
/* import [[MediaWiki:Common.css]] */ @import url("/load.php?mode=articles&only=styles&articles=MediaWiki:Common.css");
Then everything should work fine for you.
P.S. when creating an infobox table or template, you can change its color too by adding some style to the infobox top like this:
{| class="infobox" style="background-color: green;"
Oh, ok, I waited half an hour before concluding that it didn't work, but I guess it didn't work. So I'm going to try what you said, Penguin-Pal, but should I put it at the very top, before "/***** CSS placed here will be applied to all skins on the entire site. *****/" too?
You add the code to the top of the MediaWiki:Wikia.css.
The line that says /***** CSS placed here will be applied to all skins on the entire site. *****/ is part of the Common.css, and is just a comment to describe the page. It doesn't affect the codes that you post there.
YAY IT WORKED!! Thank you so much!!
