Wiki

-- Who are you?
I'm a semi-retired wiki user enjoying the good vibes. I am also an administrator of Community Central.

-- What do you do on FANDOM?
I tend to the DEEMO Wiki. I don't intend to be on any other wikis at the moment. Maybe until DELTARUNE or UNDERTALE Yellow fully releases, or Team Salvato creates something else.

-- How did you get to FANDOM?
My first wiki is on Battle Cats. I joined on April 5, 2013, but as my userpage explains, I could have existed since November 24, 2012. I have visited wikis before for information on how to beat certain enemies. Battle Cats was no exception, as I could not for the life of me figure out how to beat Teacher Bun Bun! Unfortunately, the wiki didn't exist yet. I could have created it, but I was scared of the responsibility.

The first proper wiki I have done a lot of contributions on is the Undertale Wiki. I got the passion for continuing because I was capable of solving its early-day mysteries, such as what face Asgore Dreemurr is making in his battle. Since then, I would interact with the wiki to share my knowledge after 100% the game (like checking every corner to see secrets).

-- How is FANDOM for you now?
I continue to respect this place as a nurturing ground for people looking to be more academically capable in life. By learning how to write proper articles on topics you love, read newspapers to confirm theories for your trivia points, and the chance to serve as a leader of the people with the same passions as you, I believe Wikia has done an amazing thing to unite so many people to combine their knowledge and present it to the rest of the world.

That said, it does reveal a harsh reality: that the hard work you put in can very well be distorted beyond recognition, or even removed entirely, if you choose not to constantly maintain the quality of your wiki. This will especially be the case when adult life calls to you, when you cannot make as much time as you want to maintain wikis to the standards you set as a young fan of works your passionate about. My advice, then, is to think about your work's future when you are gone by knowing someone who can carry the torch for you. Don't be scared of trying to leave if wiki work overwhelms you at any point.

-- What are your hobbies and interests other than FANDOM stuff?
I am currently a university student in the school of psychology, and my hobbies broadly regard this interest. One interest I have at the moment is media psychology and literacy, where one requires critically thinking about how media affects the self and others.

I also like to datamine certain Unity games. Datamining games have always been the most helpful way to contribute to a wiki, as the code never lies. It also helps with copy-pasting dialogue exactly.

I also like playing various board games such as Mahjong, but I also like seeing artificial intelligence pave way for new perspectives on how to play said board games.

I also like watching animated works more than live-action shows. Animation is an unmatchable quality for allowing the imagination to run wild but to also show the most inner qualities of an artist.
