This is my page. I was going to name it "Norm" but instead decided "Profile" sounded much more professional. You may know me from my previous gig, acting like a professional editor on IGN.com. I spent a decade there, but I've shifted gears and landed at Wikia to focus on the new media. If you're a Wikia contributor, I'm talking about you. The new media is what some folks call "collaborative reporting."
Current existence[]
I'm the Games Category Manager at Wikia. Don't worry, I don't know what that means either. My job is to help video game wikis in any way I can. I'm a gamer -- you can tell by the glasses. I'm new to Wikia, but learning fast. If you have a cool gaming wiki, lemme know; I want to check it out. And if you have questions, ask away.
Arrival on a new planet[]
I landed on this strange new world called Wikia to discover a few things. First, they don't have phones at the desks. Seriously, no phones. How do things get done? I don't understand! Ah, but they have free Red Vines, so I decided to stay. People think I'm the nice new guy who keeps to himself and knows all about games. Soon they will discover I am the sarcastic old bastard who makes lots of jokes and talks too loud.
Past life[]
It's true -- I once worked at IGN.com. Actually, I worked there for a long time. My biggest success was launching a pretty awesome comic book channel now run by Joey Esposito. My biggest flub was announcing Microsoft had recalled the original Xbox from Japan (bad translation.., and it was my second week).

Since I left IGN, I've had numerous people asking for my opinion on games and the world of gaming. Favorite Game[]
Yes, a lot of amazing games have been released, but this remains my one true love. It's the best RPG ever made, has amazing music, a great story, memorable characters, and tons of different endings. If you've only played the "sequel", Chrono Cross, you are missing out. Chrono Trigger is unique and still hasn't been topped.
