I'm the founder for the Legends: Rise of a Hero Wiki,
And I'm an Admin for the Game of Thrones Ascent, and am currently in the process of helping Spanish and Italian players to get the GOTA Wiki translated into their own languages.
My Wikia Approach
Other people may disagree, but this is where I stand on the topic(s):
- I believe that people should have to poney up and become a Registered User if they want to make changes to Wikia Wikis
- I prefer to use Monobook as like being able to use Wiki code to ensure that content is displayed exactly as I want it displayed
- I think Wikia's WYSIWYG Editing dumbs down content edits and leads to lazy Users and messy code. Seriously, it's not that hard people!
- I like Wikia's new Forums Feature
- I try to create an environment that encourages people to try new things, not be spoon fed, have the courage to voice their oppinion on something and to not be a Jerk towards others that might have a different oppinion
- If there isn't a credible reference, it's hearsay and therefore BS
