It was a good school year at Oakdale high school, home of the jaguars. Miara was in 10th grade. It was a new day, Miara got up and took a shower, brushed her hair and teeth, and fixed some breakfast for herself the things she does when she gets ready for school. It was the day she’s been waiting for her 10th grade year and she couldn’t wait to spend it all with Jack. Jack was Miara’s boyfriend for three years and she couldn’t wait to get to school and see him. Miara heard a knock on her door, she turned her head only to see her mother with the biggest smile she ever had on her face “you look amazing Miara just like me when I was your age” Ms. Till said “thanks mom” Miara said hugging her mom as tight as she could “so ready for school hun? I can drop you off on my way to work if you want” Miara thought for a second she wanted to take the bus but her mom must have really wanted to drop her off today and she couldn’t forget it was the first day of school, her mom always drove her to school on the first day. “sure mom that would be lovely” as she went down stairs Miara was putting on her jacket and went out the door to get in the car with her mom who was as happy as could be to see her daughter start the 10th grade.
When Miara finally got to school she started looking for her class hopping she had a class with her best friends Jessie and Brooklyn. on her way to her class she was stopped by Racey. Racey was a 10th grader just like Miara but Racey was jealous of her, in middle school she liked Jack, but when he asked me out Racey took it over board and always took her anger out on me. When we were in the 7th grade she started to get in my way of things one time she even tried to split me and Jack up I don’t know what she’ll do this year.
“Hi Miara, man you sure have grown a lot since last year and your shirt seems to be getting smaller better go shopping soon” all of Racey’s friends began to laugh “well what a funny coincidence I was just goanna say the same about your nose it grew bigger since the last time I saw you” everyone who heard Miara began to laugh louder, Racey walked away turning red in the face and Miara continued walking. When Miara entered the class room she saw her boyfriend Jack standing in the middle of the class room. “Miara over hear” he said waving his hand in the air. She walked over to him staring into his blue eyes she gave him a kiss on the cheek and kindly gave him a hello. The teacher soon came into the front of the room at her desk. “all right students please be seated” I took the first seat beside Jack and sat down as soon as possible. “all right students my name is ms.Nollen today I would like to learn your names and learn a little about you, who would like to go first. Jack pushed out his chair and stood up “I will” he said looking at me “my name is Jack Nolsan and I like to play football and I’m from Tennessee and I moved here three years ago and I have the most amazing girlfriend I could ever ask for her names Miara. I was turning bright red as some people turned back to look at me “well done Nolsan please be seated. “oh and ms.Nollen before I forget can I use the bathroom” Jack asked the teacher “yes go right ahead” man Jack must had to really go when he stood back up he was in a rush, almost fell over the chair. It was 23mins latter I was wondering what he was doing in the bathroom so long but that was none of my business. Soon Jack had came back sweating like he’d just ran a marathon somewhere. He sat back in his seat it was almost time to switch classes and I wasn’t sure if he would be in my next class or not. There was red on Jacks shirt right on his sleeve. “Jack” I whispered to him “is that blood?” he looked on his shirt with a shocked face “oh no no that must be ketchup, I ate hash browns for breakfast today” it didn’t look like just ketchup so I grabbed his arm and pulled his sleeve up and there was a starch the size of a pencil on his arm leaking with blood “Jack! Are…are you okay does it hurt, who did this to you?” it looked painful I don’t see how he didn’t feel it “shhhh quiet now Miara please don’t talk while I’m teaching” I lowered my voice a little “Miara I’m okay it doesn’t hurt don’t worry it’s just a little starch I’ll go to the nurse and get it clean later it’s no big deal, and let’s just say I got into a little rumble on my way back from the bathroom” a rumble well that doesn’t sound like Jack at all he never fought, it seemed a little uncommon for him to do something like that I started to wonder. The bell had rung for us to go to our next class. I went to go look for Jack he usually walks me to my next class but he was no where to be found when walked out the door. “Miara!” I heard someone calling me from down the hall it was my best friend Jessie calling me. I knew we had a second class together. “well here we are Miara in the 10th grade and we finally have three classes together! Can you believe it. She was very excited jumping up and down smiling. “I know!....wait have you seen Brooklyn anywhere I haven’t seen her ever since I came to school this morning doesn’t she have math class with us?” Jessie gave a confused look ”um I don’t know for sure but she said she would meet us at lunch later” Brooklyn said then the bell rung “oh no were late for math, on the first day come on hurry” we speeded down the hallway. Something had caught my attention “what’s wrong Miara aren’t you coming?” I saw Jack and a group of people talking there was 4 boys and 2 girls with him “yeah I’m fine, I don’t want you to be late you go ahead Jessie ill be there in a minute. Jessie went on to her class in a hurry. I peeked around the corner listening to what they were saying “yes they had come for more trouble I don’t know what they’re planning to do but we must call the rest of the TW’S and alert them before it’s too late”. I heard Jack say “but that won’t help we’ll need new TW’S maybe they’ll have some kind of stronger….” I was pulled by the shirt by someone pulling me away from the corner “don’t you know it’s bad to skip class young lady!” spitting on me as she spoke “yes I know I wasn’t really skipping class…never mind” I walked to my class but while I did I was still wondering what did TW mean, what does it stand for, was there some kind of secret Jack was keeping from me?
It was soon lunch time I met up with my friends I finally got to see Brooklyn. Brooklyn is a blue eyed blonde much like Jack but her hair is lighter. “so how’s it going for you Brooklyn are your classes good?” me and Jessie had asked “yeah its fine I guess” that didn’t sound like Brooklyn at all she was always happy she was sadder then she ever was “what’s wrong Brooklyn are you okay?” she looked at us with a tear rolling down her cheek, seeing Brooklyn cry would sometimes want to make me cry “it’s nothing just something I have to deal with just…I..have to go text you guys later. She could barely speak while crying. “what’s wrong with her Miara is someone bugging her?” we were both confused “I don’t know but I hope she’ll be okay” Jessie said “hey by the way why were you so late to class it was really fun” it was still going on in my head about what TW meant. “Jessie do you know what TW means by any chance?” she was taking a sip of her favorite tea “no why?” she said “well because today I heard Jack talking about some kind of warning he needs to give to the TW’S but I couldn’t listen everything he said I got caught out off class by a teacher” Jessie thought for a second “well maybe its some kind of secret club” she flipped her long silky brown hair back. All of a sudden Jack came to sit right in front of me with his lunch. “hey Jack guess what comes on tonight’’ he smiled with his big bright teeth “what comes on tonight?” he asked. I was shocked that he didn’t remember what it was. It was our favorite show we always watched every weekend it was called “the black rose” it was about this girl named kay, she found out her dad was a spy and when he got injured on a mission and died kay had to take his place as soon as she turned 21 and she promised her dad before she died she would impress him. “oh come on babe you know the show our favorite show the black rose!’ I yelled out “oh yeah I’m supposed to some over and watch it with you today” he said “my house at 6” lunch was over for us and we son reported back to class
Soon the bell had rung and it was time to go home, when I got home it was 4:54 so i started putting out snacks for Jack and Jessie and I couldn’t forget Jessie’s favorite tea. She drinks it all the time I knew she wouldn’t like to stay without her favorite drink iced lime tea. It was latter 6:14 I was wondering where Jack was. I was feeling kind of Hungary that’s because I ate all the popcorn I had laid out then here was a knock on the door. I got up to answer and it was Jack standing on the porch “come on come in the shows about to start I don’t want to miss one second of it” we jumped on the couch and turned the TV up as the show came on. When we got to the third part of the show I must have fallen asleep. I woke up with a note beside me that said “sorry had to go emergency- love jack” well I had enough of that I was going to find out what he was doing and why. My phone began to make noises. I picked it up and it was a message from Jack “Miara I would like you to meet one of my friend’s lance he’s been dyeing to meet you, ill come pick you up soon around 8 to meet him okay?” I replied with a okay sure maybe this so called lance would tell me what’s going on and this stupid secret. There was a knock on the door “Miara can you get the door sweetie” I rolled my eyes “yeah I got it” I opened the door and there standing was a handsome and charming teen with the most shiniest blackest hair ever and his eyes, where a pretty brown. “hi you must be Miara I’m lance” he put his hand out for me to shake I was kind afraid to at first his voice was so peaceful “so Miara ready to go? Dinners on me if it’s okay with your mom to be out late” I almost fell to the floor when I just realized what Jack said I was starving and mom was making that vegie soup she likes so much, doesn’t even taste like soup. It taste like a bunch of socks old socks. I grabbed my coat before I went out the door “mom I going out for dinner with lance and Jack!”
In the car I sat in the front with Jack, they wanted to treat me like a lady, so they opened every door I walked trough they even gave me their heavy jackets and it wasn’t even cold! “so Jack what do you think we should eat tonight pizza maybe?” lance asked “well it doesn’t matter to me do you want pizza Miara?” talking about all this food made my stomach growl “yes could we go to pancy pizza there pizzas are amazing” lance laughed “well sounds like you’re hungry” I gave him a smart look and rolled my eyes “you have no idea” we soon arrived at pancy pizza in the parking lot. I couldn’t wait to get inside I heard Lance and Jack talking “so you goanna tell her Jack, I mean she has to know sooner or later” I started walking closer to them “tell me what!” I stopped and stood in the middle of them and repeated myself after they went silent “tell me what!” I yelled “listen Miara calm down” my face grew reader and I was steaming red “no! you listen tell me what your keeping from me, tell me what TW Means!” Lance and Jacks eyebrows went up “wait how did you know about that! Who told you” Jack yelled “you know what Jack I’m going Shhhhhh!” Lance put his hand over my lip “no you shush” I argued “no Miara shhhh I hear something” I put a straight look on my face and looked at lance “yeah right I’m walking home goodbye Jack” Jack and Lance yelled my name “Miara!” I was pushed on the ground I couldn’t see very well my eye sight was kinda dizzy from hitting my head on the sidewalk, but I felt something furry over me tickling my arm. I sat up and saw two wolves one grey wolves attacking something that seems to be like a black wolf I thought I had hit my head hard and was just seeing things. One of the wolves came up to me “Miara are you okay?” it was funny cause it sounded like Jacks voice only in a low tone. “Miara its us Jack and Lance here let us help you up” the two grey wolves transform into humans. “wait what just happened! How’d you guys do that?” Lance and Jack looked at each other “okay Miara come on we know your dizzy lets go get you something to eat” I forgot we were still in the parking lot of pancy pizza, after what I just saw I wasn’t even hungry anymore.
We were seated in pancy pizza waiting for our pizzas we ordered “so, Miara me and Lance are tamebers wolves that’s what TW means you may have heard me and Jack talking earlier about the warning me and Lance wanted to take you out to dinner to tell you this before it would be too late” I was kinda confused “so why do you guys want me” I asked “the leader of the TW’S Martiva thinks your qualified to be a TW and that you could handle it but even if we do give you the power that she wants you to have you would still have to learn to use it” Lance said “well Jack how long have you been keeping this from me” Jack licked his lips “I’ve been keeping it from you for two years I’m sorry I promised the TW’S I wouldn’t tell I had to keep my promise” I finally understood what they meant now “so how do I get turned into a tamebers wolf?” Lance and Jack looked at each other again “hear in our teeth when we turn into the wolf, there is a important liquid called splalk we would have to sink our teeth into your right arm and let the splalk realize into your body and in about two days you will be able to change into wolf and human, but this could hurt…or be swollen for those two days..so sould you like to help us out Miara” lance said I had to think really hard about this I realized they really needed my help “yes ill do it” Jack smiled “only a few things you cant do, never reveal your powers to anyone, never give the splalk to anyone without the leaders permission too and if these rules are broken…you will lose your power of being a tameber wolf got that?” Jack explained “yes I agree on these rules” lance stood up out of the chair “okay hear while we wait lets go in the back outside so we can give you the splalk, the sooner we give it to you the better” Lance said guide ding me to the door. We were in the back of pancy pizza and I was getting ready to get the splalk injected into me. “here Miara this will hurt please give me your hand” Jack said the Lance sank his teeth into my right arm and man! It hurt more than getting a shot from a doctor, I could feel the splalk flowing in my arm trough out my body. “ouch” I was moaning trying to bare the pain “there were all done that wasn’t so bad now was it Miara” Lance said helping me up of the ground “oh oh wait let me wrap this around it” Jack said ripping a piece of cloth of his shirt. He wrapped it tight around my arm that made it feel kinda better “now that you have the splalk in you how about you go eat your pizza now you earned it” Lance said. I could barely walk back to the front I felt dizzier than when I hit my head on the side walk. To be continued……………
