Technical Update: December 11, 2012

Here are the latest technical updates at Wikia. Keep in mind that our system updates happen every Wednesday, so we’re posting this on a Tuesday to give you advance notice. Also note that we change hundreds of tiny details every week, so these are just the highlights. This will be the final weekly release for 2012. Happy holidays!

Major Bugs Fixed

• In Top 10 Lists, the description was not displayed on the published list.
• In Forum board descriptions, extra space was showing between linked text and punctuation.
• On Forum board pages, removed replies could still show as the most recent reply.
• Rollbacking an edit was giving an error at times.

Other Notable Changes

• "New Photos" changes to "Photos" on the "On the Wiki" navigation tab.

Select Known Issues

• The transparency slider in Special:ThemeDesigner has stopped working.
• The Visual Editor's template editor is mishandling media links with captions.
• Some founder e-mails are being sent in the wrong language.
