What Makes a Good Wiki Page?

Hey there, everybody! My name's Dr. Unicorn and I am here to give you guys a (hopefully) useful blog post!

Well, I would like to start off by saying this: there is a question that lots of people ask me, and it is this:
"What makes a good wiki page?"

Well, here I am going to give you a couple of recommendations on how to improve or how to create a new, high-quality page on the Wikia service. These recommendations are in no particular order, so you can start off and read at any point desired.

Tips and Recommendations

I do not understand the reason for this, but pages and articles with images tend to get viewed more often, so make sure that your pages have images as part of them. But there is also something very important, and that is spacing of images. Do not format your pages like lots-of-images, and then lots-of-text, and so on. I also recommend adding a 'Gallery' section to your page so readers will know where most of the images are.

Categories help readers search for pages that have to do with the same topic they are on. But, do keep in mind that wikis with badly categorized pages will not be very often visited, because if the pages are tagged with unnecessary categories, people will expect other pages to be as badly categorized as the one that they visited.

Be sure that your pages are well-linked so readers will find it very easy to make their way to other pages to find our even more informations about the topic. Unlike the above two, there are not much limits in this one.

So, that's what I have for now- if you have ideas, please feel free to post them in the comments section below and if I decide it is appropriate, I may add onto this post here.

Thank you very much!
