Well… yes. But that’s not what I’m talking about. What I’m referring to is an exciting new video game and corresponding Wikia Official Community! Neither of which are “evil,” I might add.
In Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor (coming to current- and next-gen consoles in 2014), players take on the role of Talion – a valiant ranger whose family is slain the night Sauron and his army return to Mordor, moments before his own life is taken. Resurrected by a Spirit of vengeance and empowered with Wraith abilities, Talion ventures into Mordor and vows to destroy those who’ve wronged him. Through the course of Talion’s personal vendetta, players uncover the truth of the Spirit that compels them, learn the origins of the Rings of Power and ultimately confront their true nemesis.
The newly launched Shadow of Mordor community is "official," which means you’ll be among the first to see new trailers, images and gameplay footage, as well as hear all the latest on the title as it develops. Perhaps more impressive, however, is the direct line you’ll have to the game’s creators. We’re talking exclusive Q&As, developer chats, and blogs up the yin-yang!
Consider the doors to the official Shadow of Mordor community formally open and take this as your cue to start chronicling the history and mythology that seeps into the established lore of Middle-earth. Oh, did I mention the game is set in the unexplored era between The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings? Lots to build around here, people!
So do what you do best, my friends, and make the official Shadow of Mordor community your home.
